Very Good Buy

The price has gone back up, but it is still worth it. Don't you love it when people buy a product that shows it has no DVI, then complain about it when it doesn't have DVI? You get a lot for hat you pay for, especially if you just flat out format the...

Got it for around $520 ; Is FAST, now that I dropped an Intel 40Gb SSD in it ; Mine is the tan model, so no fingerprint issues ; Put the 320Gb in a Rosewill case and we're off for a nice days work ; Love the keyboard, but hooked a Logitec mini-mouse to...

Who made this battery anyway? I think I would prefer the old SONY batteries that used to spontaneously ignite...at least they lasted more than 2 hours. Yeah, that is 2 hours even with the minimal power draw of an SSD! I guess I'd better buy 2 more...

Nice Laptop

This is not a laptop for gaming, so don't expect the best results trying to do so. Nor is it capable of virtualization. These are not cons, simply features you should not expect when purchasing this laptop.

Ideal for a student. Nice display. Keyboard has a smooth feel and is well spaced for those with fat fingers. More than enough speed to do the basics and then some. Bought it on New Egg when it was listed at $550 with the instant $150 rebate along with...

No sound key for quick adjustment of volume on the keyboard. Blu-Ray drive would have been nice

Decent Workhorse

I don't like the contemporary resolutions of 1366 x 768. I yearn for the good old 1680 x 1024. I'm not a fan of "widescreen". However, at $550 how could I "whine like a female dog" and moan? It had a little bloatware--and still has this stupid Vaio...

Light. Durable. Quick boot/shutdown. Quiet

Chicklet keys--there is space between each key that makes each key look like an individual "chicklet" sitting on top of the laptop ; Had some issues with the Norton antivirus. It would interrupt *every keystroke* with a brief pause as it verified...

Dissappointing VGN-NW310F

Disappointing, had higher expectations from a Sony product. I should have went with the ASUS in this price range. Sony cut to many corners on the case to get to this price point. Thinking positive now I can upgrade to a better aftermarket screen and a...

Nice Keyboard, 64 bit, 320 gig hard drive, 4 gigs of decent memory, performance was better than expected

poor build quality, lots of flex in the case and screen, No HDMI, Picture even after adjusting is somewhat washed out and viewing angle is limited. I am guessing the problems with the case lead to the following ; Not very durable, somehow the internals...

Nice

There is a lot of junk software that must be removed. I can't seem to find drivers for XP online, they appear to exist on the sony site but the drivers in question are all Win7. The good news is that Win 7 64 bit runs very well on this computer.

The highlights are the keyboard and the screen. Keyboard has the separated chicklet stype keyboard that is a joy to type on. Screen is vibrant and sharp. I happen to like the textured touch pad

Not much so far - certainly nothing that stands out. No virtualization on this CPU although it is 64 bit

Bad quality laptop

I bought 5 this Sony laptops when it was $550.00. One of them has touch pad problem, and the other one has DVD-ROM issue. The quality of this Sony is not good as other VAIO laptops, tha is why it is cheaper.

Cheap Sony Laptop ; 4GB Memory

Quality ; No HDMI Port
