Jury still out

 

Didn't send in for the rebate so I lost out on that :( For now, giving 2 stars because of the inconvenience of sending it back. Without the intermittent crashing this would easily be a 4-5 star review. This could be a motherboard or hard drive problem...

lightweight, speedy, handles many applications at once like a champ. I really like this laptop when it's working

Battery life lower than marketed but still not too bad. System crashes randomly with "Operating System Not Found" message .. luckily it works after restarting a few times .. Sending back to Newegg for return (RMA) and hoping a new one will be better

I bought this laptop for my college daughter, the performance were great until the screen broke after 2 weeks of use. Sony\'s warranty and service were outstanding and she got her computer back in 4 days, good as new.

The 5 star review is for the overall value of this computer. It isn't perfect. It could use a third USB slot, a back-lit keyboard would be nice, and the trackpad takes some getting used to (not bad-just different) but this is one of the cheapest...
