Sanyo PLV-Z2000

Accurate color decoding ; independent memory per input ; comprehensive connectivity ; includes both horizontal and vertical lens shift

Primary and secondary color accuracy is way off, particularly red and green

While Sanyo's PLV-Z2000 1080p projector does have some performance shortcomings, it's nonetheless a very good value.

UltimateAVmag.com: Sanyo PLV-Z2000 1080p LCD Projector

By David Vaughn (ultimateavmag.com)

It is a great time to be a home theater enthusiast. Sure, the format war between rivals HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc has been distracting. But the price of 1080p projectors has fallen from the stratosphere to price levels many can actually afford. Prices ...

? Good Value, ? Easy placement with H/V Lens shift and 2:1 zoom lens, ? Whisper Quiet, ? No Light Spill into room

? Not very bright, ? Poor Documentation (Mounting screw size unavailable), ? Black levels could be improved, ? Cosmetic's of exterior case not fitting snugly together

Going into this review I wasn't sure what type of image to expect from a "budget" 1080p projector. While the image produced is quite acceptable, there are a few shortcomings that I found. Most notable was light output that wasn't quite as bright as I ...

AWESOME

By Country Clubber (newegg.com)

I got it about 6 months ago and I havent had a single problem. Bulb is working great and filter cleaning monitoring system is very accurate as well. This is probably one of the best bangs for your buck in the beginner home theatre aisle. Dynamic lens shif...

Stunning images, and DYNAMIC lens shift. I have this sitting in a corner of a room, but the image is projected on the middle of the wall with zero trapezoid effect. True 1080p(1920X1080) is a killer feature as well. 2 HDMI's make it great for use with rec...

None really - just make sure you adjust settings to accomodate your room.

Very Good Projector

By N/A (newegg.com)

Very good value. DVD's and video games look awesome on it. I use an up-convert DVD player and depending on the title, they are nearly indistiguisable from blu-ray.

1080p resolution looks great, fairly good contrast, number of inputs, menu layout, sturdy build.

When I want to adjust the projector while it's on, it shuts down very easily with the slightest nudge. I have no idea if this is a common problem. The brightness, while definitely not a major problem, is not it's strong suit.
