Works inconsistently

The "ON" function does not work consistently when operating the control inside the house to an outside module. Would not recommend this item for purchase if you plan to operate the control in this manner.

A great remote. System has some learning curve.

I have a small network at home and uses 3 of these remotes. Some things are not quite obvious for someone coming from an X-10 background, hopefully this review will help those people. \n \nIn an X-10 network, each device has an ID, and remotes...

Not bad...

At $13 I had to at least give it a shot. At $13 I'm not disappointed. You could probably get me to pay $25 if it came down to it. \n \nOther reviews complained about the instructions, but for a z-wave device they weren't that bad compared to other...

Awesome Remote / Horrible Instructions

I added this to my already growing Z-WAVE network. It really works great as do all of the other Z-WAVE products I have purchased with the INTERMATIC logo on them. This remote has a green and red LED which alerts you to its sending status of a "command"...

The HA09C is indeed handy, I now own four.

I have had two of these in operation for about 18 months now and recently purchased two more. These are great for use on a bedroom night stand. I set up mine to have the top three buttons activate different dim levels for a small table lamp (lamp...

Product Specifications

Power up to 96 Z-Wave devices with a hand-held wireless controller. Control multiple lights and appliances in and around your house with a handheld controller that doesn't even need to be plugged in. By using radio frequency technology, Z-Wave components require no wiring, and since each module includes a repeater function, adding more modules to your Z-Wave network actually improves reliability. The Z-Wave Handy Remote Controller will manage up to 96 Z-Wave devices and is powered only by four AAA batteries (not included). Note: Z-Wave technology is not X10 compatible. The Handy Remote Controller has six channels, pairs of on/off/dim buttons to control individual devices or groups of up to 16 devices; it can control up to 96 devices in and around your home. It's light and comfortable to hold, so you'll be able to bring it along to use anywhere in the house. Each device to be controlled will require a Lamp Module or an Appliance Module (not included); two-way feedback confirms that each device is set up and working properly. Once set up, you'll be able to turn incandescent lights on and off and dim them using the Handy Remote Controller or turn appliances on and off; take advantage of the manual override function to turn the devices off at their source.
