The Samsung UBD-K8500 is quite quick and feature-rich for one of the first consumer 4K Blu-ray players available, but it will cost you.

Fast. Ultra HD Blu-ray titles look sharp, especially with HDR. Solid upconversion. Good connected features.

You don't get a lot of extra features, but this player delivers excellent performance on both the video and audio fronts.

Played all the commercial and test Blu-ray discs we fed it ; DLNA compliant, with very good support for disperate media file formats ; Good remote control and a well-designed user interface
