A few key improvements over the original are enough to make the high-definition Vado the best pocket camcorder around.
Records high-quality HD video. Big, bright screen. Removable, rechargeable battery. 8GB of memory. HDMI-out. HDMI cable bundled.
Only 2X digital zoom. Memory isn't expandable.

It's sleeker and cheaper than Pure Digital's mini camcorder, but Creative's Vado has one serious flaw.
Sleek and slim design. Low price. Large screen. Rechargeable battery. Easy-to-use software.
Poor uploaded video quality. Subpar mic.

Ultraslim design; removable, rechargeable battery; easy to use; relatively inexpensive; one-touch video uploading to YouTube and Photobucket.
Included desktop software is almost featureless; no SD/MMC expansion slot; Mac users have to manually copy video files to their computers.
While its video quality doesn't quite measure up to some of its competitors, there are enough pluses to make the Creative Vado Pocket Cam a worthy contender in the mini camcorder market.

Creative's Vado is an innovative stand-alone device but leaves a lot to be desired.
