Expert Review

The GR-D750 is a solid little performer that punches well above its weight; offering impressive image quality for entry-level users. If you're on the lookout for a cheap miniDV camera, you could certainly do a lot worse than this.

Above average video performance, cheap price tag

Lacking in extra features, ugly design

JVC GR D750

I have this model of JVC camcorder and I am pleased with its functionality. I am not a professional videographer, and I am not even that much of a techie person. But the JVC GR D750 is user-friendly and can be navigated quite easily. I've used it on...

Okay camera - get the GR-D770 instead

The features on [...] say that it takes stills while recording, but since it doesn't have an SD card it actually interrupts recording while storing the still onto the tape. Spend the extra $10 for the GR-D770 and you can snap a still without...

Works Wonderfully

This Camcorder offers high value for those needing a casual use camcorder. I find this light-weight cam is well made, delivering decent quality video, and is easy to operate- with both auto and manual modes. It does suffer from the limitations most, if...

Good

I recently gave this camera a run during a trip to China. The camera went everywhere with me in my day pack which gave it a bit of bumping around in taxis, buses etc. I found it to be good on power usage and was surprised at the long battery life. Most...

Compact and well balanced in the hand.
