JVC Everio GZ-MG135

Multiple recording options for added versatility, user-friendly control scheme, compact size

Image quality fails to astound

Despite offering an average video performance, this is a fairly solid hybrid device that we have little hesitation in recommending to casual users.

Ease of use for beginner. software with package great and easy to use.

JVC Everio GZ-MG135

Very small and compact will fit into the Everio Video bag with a digital camera and spare batteries. Use on Ultra quality 7 hrs is more than enough time even on two weeks holiday.

Lens shutter protection not automatic. Image quality in photo mode not to good. Needs a 1394 cable to make the most of it.

Good

A compact and easy to use HDD recorder. The Hard Drive simplicity and control enables continuous recording without need for concern or interuption. Quality in Ultra Fine is very good and editing suite seems useful. A recent purchase that has been used...

Size and flexibility of use with hard drive, zoom is smoother than replaced Panasonic. Even using normal recording the quality is reasonable. Menu and controls are logical after initial review of instructions.

None so far, this is a recent purchase. Perhaps some issues in low light quality but this is yet to be compared to older mini DV.
