Panasonic HC-V520

The Panasonic HC-V520 packs an impressive 50x zoom lens and built-in Wi-Fi.

50x f/1.8-4.2 zoom lens. Impressive optical stabilization. Touch screen. 1080p60 video capture. Inexpensive. Wi-Fi.

Still capture only 10 megapixels. No built-in memory.

Video Quality and Conclusions Video is recorded at up to 1080p60 quality in AVCHD format. The footage is rife with detail, even at the upper limit of the 50x optical zoom. The stabilization system does a good job keeping things steady there, but if you...

The Panasonic HC-V520M Camcorder

If you are into sports video, you know that it almost a given that you need a decent zoom to get the action (and it goes without saying, a tripod as well). In still photography terms, my experiences in motor sport suggest a 200mm is the minimum and...

Panasonic HC-V520

Despite its improved low-light performance, this $400 camcorder isn't quite the bargain it seems.

The V520 is a feature-packed budget camcorder, but it can't keep up with Canon's latest.

Great Camera - Lousy Wifi

Really love this just as a camera, but there's a serious issue with their streaming capability. Shouldn't be this hard with today's technology.

Beautiful picture and a great zoom. I like the switch on the back to change your mode from view recordings, record video, and take pictures. Each mode gives you its own menu on the lcd. Like I said at the beginning, the picture quality is awesome in...

I bought this to stream church services through USTREAM, and the feature to automatically do this (even though you have to pass through Panasonic's LUMIX web service) made it exactly what we were looking for; mobile, lightweight quality video and sound...

Best camcorder for price

A great camcorder. The optical image stabilization makes for great long zooms. Zeiss lens is great. Good in low light.

Panasonic HC-V520

Amazing zoom, great daylight images and better than expected low light image quality. Ability to control zoom from smartphone. Can keep recording with view screen closed.

AVCHD 1080p - Format not supported on most of the smart TV's I've tried rendering wifi and dnla function useless. AVCHD also not supported natively on mac so lengthy conversion required.
