Panasonic HDC x900 review: Panasonic HDC x900

Panasonic HDC x900

Generally excellent video quality and a straightforward, if somewhat unglamorous, interface highlight the ; , ; , and ; 's capabilities.

Wonky white balance and lack of a built-in neutral density filter are the two biggest drawbacks of an otherwise very good series of prosumer camcorders.

Panasonic's trio of prosumer camcorders, the hard-disk-based HDC-HS900 and flash-based TM900 and SD800, deliver generally excellent video quality and provide the full set of manual controls and features advanced users want. But you have to be willing...

Panasonic HC-X900MCamcorder Review

The HC-X900M is the replacement for last year's HDC-TM900 flagship HD camcorder from Panasonic, but if you're looking for hot new features or exciting updates then you should prepare to be disappointed. Other than a few design alterations and some...

Panasonic HC-X900MFirst Impressions Review

Fresh from the factory and here on display at CES 2012 in Las Vegas, the HC-X900 is Panasonic's newest flagship HD camcorder. The new model doesn't have an overwhelming amount of updates over its predecessor, the HDC-TM900, but Panasonic does claim...

Panasonic HC-X900M Camcorder and 3D Conversion Lens Review

With outstanding performance in two dimensions or three, the HC-X900M, by Panasonic, is well worth the attention of anyone seeking quality HD at an affordable price.

Panasonic HC-X900M

Looking for fancy new upgrades? Panasonic's latest flagship model is likely to disappoint.

Incredibly sharp video using 1080/60p mode; 3D recording with optional conversion lens

Few updates over its predecessor; Larger body and worse grip than previous Panasonics

Panasonic sure knows how to make a solid flagship camcorder with appeal to consumers and semi-pros alike, and, by all means, the new HC-X900M is exactly that—an excellent high-end camcorder. Unfortunately, the product still left us dissatisfied thanks...

Panasonic HC-X900M HD Camcorder - Updating the Best

The successor to the impressive 1080/50p-shooting HDC-TM900, the HC-X900M, sports improvements such as a wider lens with nano coating, a high-res, 3D-compatible LCD, and an improved 5-axis image stabilization system. Will Panasonic's latest offering...

Panasonic HC-X900

The Panasonic HC-X900 improves on predecessors in lots of little ways, maintaining a winning combination of features and image quality.

Excellent image quality ; Lens focus ring ; Comprehensive manual controls

Panasonic HC-X900M

The HC-X900M is an impressive high-end camcorder from Panasonic, but it doesn't warrant its steep asking price, given the raft of other excellent models available.

Manual controls ; Simple interface and menus ; Hybrid storage options

Price ; Not a significant improvement on older models

While this camera is impressive and does certainly improve on other models, it is underwhelming when you consider that it is their flagship camcorder. We would definitely look further into other Panasonic models with similar features.

Panasonic HC-X900 review

Many people are happy with the video from their digital camera and even from their phone's camera but, for some, only the best will do. No matter which special occasion you want to capture, the new HC-X900 should do it justice.

The HC-X900 produces beautifully detailed video that's at least as sharp as the competition. It has all the features enthusiasts demand, including a rear viewfinder: a rare sighting on a camcorder these days. There's not enough here to warrant an...
