Panasonic HDC-HS250 review: Panasonic HDC-HS250

Panasonic HDC-HS250

High-quality video; solid performance; broad manual feature set.

Touch screen not responsive enough

A very good prosumer HD camcorder, the Panasonic HDC-HS250 is the best deal of its product line, but has the same annoying touch-screen interface.

Panasonic HDC-HS250 Digital Camcorder

Panasonic has unveiled three high end and three entry level camcorders into the market. The Panasonic HDC-HS250 and HS 300 are two high end models. The new models have 120 GB hard disk that holds up to 50 hours of footage at the lowest quality...

Panasonic HDC-HS250 review

Panasonic's trio of top-of-the-prosumer-line HD camcorders--the flash-based HDC-TM300 , and hard-drive-based HDC-HS300 and HDC-HS250--in many ways vastly improve over older models like the HS100 and SD100 . Panasonic jettisoned most of what I disliked...

Awesome Camcorder

This is by far the best camcorder that I have ever purchased. It takes very clear video with hardly any noise even at low light. The only bad thing is lack of software to encode AVCHD. Highly recommended product.

Recording memories

I was still using my big old VHS recorder I have had for years, until my daughter started High School Band. This is so much smaller to carry, and the difference in sound and picture quality is amazing. It does however, require time to learn. I tried...

Good camcorder; home theater integration could be easier

This is my first HD camcorder. I didn't buy it on Newegg, but I did end up buying a new CPU and graphics card here when I saw how much my onboard graphics choked on the 1080i files. If you want to play these AVCHD videos under Windows, check out Media...

Good set of features ; Remote control can be used instead of touch screen, especially useful for delicate shots where poking at the screen would jolt the picture ; Hard drive holds about sixteen hours of video at highest quality ; Hybrid - supports SD...

No input for external microphone ; Only supports 5.1 surround playback over HDMI when viewing directly from camera (see "other thoughts") ; Camera is panning too quickly" message appears a little more often than I'd like ; fine details in moving...

Great Full HD Camera

I bought a UV Lense and a wide angle lense and just WoW...amazing. I love my camera, i got it becuse my daughter is only 15 months old and i want to keep memories of her when she was a baby. Plus we are having a family get-together at the beach on this...

I love this camera, pretty much point and shot. I playback my movies on my 47 inch HDTV via HDMI cable, and the picture is just astonishing. Its got a 3MOS chips....instead of only 1 and is a lot more clear'er then the other HD Cameras, I went thru a...

It doesn't come with a Mini-hdmi cable, have to buy else where. Some people complain about the touch screen, but i dont see any problem with it. Very easy to use

easy to use camcorder ”

I got this camcorder for about two weeks already. It's very easy to start operating it even without reading the manual. The touch screen feature is great! You can basically play on the touch screen and see the difference of the picture quality right on...

Panasonic HDC-HS250 for movie

The HS250 offer's many of same manual features as it is more expensive for another, you access them via a button that lives in the LCD recess; it invokes manual focus, white balance, shutter, and iris. Primary operation occurs through the touch-screen...
