BlackBerry Z10 preview: First look

The touchscreen revolution wasn't equally kind to all big phone makers. Samsung and Apple were quick to spot the opportunity and got propelled to the top, very much at the expense of the likes of BlackBerry and Nokia. And while the Finns thought the...

BlackBerry Z10 Review

Is the BlackBerry Z10 a groundbreaking smartphone? No, but it is a compelling BlackBerry device and runs on a solid new operating system.

Is the BlackBerry Z10 a groundbreaking smartphone? No, it doesn’t have any one uniquely crazy new idea. But there’s something to be said for subtlety. The Z10 a compelling BlackBerry device and runs on a solid new operating system. It will just take...

BlackBerry Z10 review

The BlackBerry Z10 is a better-than-good, but far-from-great smartphone.

Nice display ; Solid build quality ; Removable battery

Limited app selection ; Slow boot and shutdown ; Underpowered speaker

BlackBerry's BlackBerry Z10 is genuinely a pretty nice phone. Performance, helped by the lightweight QNX-based OS, is more than acceptable. The form factor offers you plenty of screen size in a device that may not feel luxurious, but does at least seem...

A New Hope

The new Z10 could save BlackBerry. It won't dethrone Android or put a major dent in Apple's iPhone dominance. But it will make current BlackBerry users happy enough to lay down some cash. They've been waiting for a good shot in the arm for too long,...

BlackBerry Z10 (AT&T)

The first BlackBerry 10 handset, the Z10 is a thoroughly modern, high-quality smartphone with a strong focus on messaging, but a lack of popular apps and media could hold it back.

Well-built. "Flow" metaphor makes multitasking easy. Excellent multimedia support.

Hardware is rather generic. Battery life isn't great. Lacks popular apps and media services.

The 1800mAh battery won't satisfy heavy users, so it's a good thing it's removable and that it fills up quickly. I was able to move from almost no charge to 100 percent in three hours. I got 7 hours, 30 minutes of talk time and 3 hours, 7 minutes of...

Review: BlackBerry Z10 is a bold reimagining of a smartphone

The BlackBerry Z10 phone has much to like, but it also makes a few gaffes.

Lovely, responsive display ; New interface is fluid and finger-friendly, as is the on-screen keyboard

Micro-USB port is in an awkward location ; Camera outputs subpar images

The BlackBerry Z10 has its rough spots. Even so, for a first-gen device on a new OS, it's a solid smartphone effort. If you already have a BlackBerry handset, or if your company is about to move to the new Enterprise Service 10, this phone has much to...

BlackBerry Z10 review

On January 30, 2013, RIM (Research in Motion) announced that the company will officially be known as BlackBerry.

RIM dug deep to give the slick-looking BlackBerry Z10 enough features to satisfy both consumers and professionals -- like a good camera and a sharp user interface.

The Z10's unintuitive gesture paradigm creates a learning curve, and a long list of OS inefficiencies and omissions sour the experience. The bare-bones maps app and a deficit of camera features are two examples.

Though it's not quite enough to draw committed iPhone or Android owners, the BlackBerry Z10's modern design and features give BlackBerry fans what they've hungered for.

BlackBerry Z10 review: a new life, or life support?

BlackBerry is about to enter the battle of its life, and as you'll see in my review of its new flagship phone, the Z10, it's using everything in its arsenal to win. Maybe win is the wrong word;...

Clean and solid hardware design ; BlackBerry 10 is a promising new OS ; Keyboard is surprisingly good

Third-party apps leave much to be desired ; New UI tricks don't always pay off ; Battery life is a serious concern

A good phone, but why the Z10? Why now?

Review RIM BlackBerry Z10 Smartphone

The return of the BlackBerry. After two years of development behind the scenes, the Canadian firm BlackBerry comes back on the market with their brand new BlackBerry 10 OS and their new Z10 model. Outfitted with a high-resolution 4.2-inch display, a...

Stable manufacturing, Great display, Lots of connections, High-performance, Battery times, Intuitive OS, Ease of one-handed use well thought out, Operational controls, Business extras, The intuitive, one-handed operation and the strong display

Glass surface could be stronger, Cameras only average quality, Takes time to become familiarized with the OS, App store selection is limited at the moment, A real highlight to set the device apart from the masses, and of course, more popular apps...

BlackBerry Z10 Review

BlackBerry 10 has come a long way. For months, we’ve seen a sprinkle of information every so often regarding some of BlackBerry 10′s improvements over previous iterations of the operating systems. And last week was when BlackBerry finally...

In short: BlackBerry owners who aren’t afraid of jumping into a device with a touch-screen keyboard will want to check out the BlackBerry Z10. The rest who own an iPhone or Android device should probably stick to what they have.
