OnePlus 6T review: Trivial changes hamper a great phone

OnePlus continues to deliver great hardware and software features with the 6T. However,a sluggish in-display fingerprint reader and the controversial decision to remove the headphone jack might give you pause. The 6T would have otherwise been a fitting...

Usual solid build quality ; Slick software performance ; Great rear cameras

Sluggish in-display fingerprint reader ; Removal of the headphone jack ; Weak haptic vibration ; Sometimes blurry selfies

OnePlus continues to stand out by offering reliable performance in good-looking packages. The friendly price tags help a lot, too, obviously. But I'd be hesitant to call the 6T a clear improvement on its almost perfect predecessor. While the dewdrop...

OnePlus 6T review: A hero phone without the sky-high price

Featuring a novel in-screen fingerprint reader, the OnePlus 6T is neck-and-neck with other marquee phones that are way more expensive.

The OnePlus 6T offers top-notch hardware including a lightning-speed processor and an excellent camera for hundreds of dollars less than its competitors. For US customers, it works on Verizon's network.

The phone doesn't have a headphone jack or a water-resistant design. Its in-screen fingerprint reader should work a tad faster.

The OnePlus 6T is the most affordable, top-notch Android you can get. But if you already have the 6, don't feel the need to update.

OnePlus 6T

The $549 OnePlus 6T is the best value for your Android smartphone dollar today.

Amazing price for the power. Huge screen for the size. Fast, smooth software.

Camera doesn't quite lead the pack. No headphone jack.

The OnePlus 6T is the best value for the money in the US phone market today. It's easily comparable with the $799, 128GB iPhone XR; the $999, 128GB Google Pixel 3 XL; and other phones in the $900 to $1,000 range. But it starts at only $549, and even...

OnePlus 6T review: revised formula, same results

What was good is still good; what was missing is still missing.

Immaculate fit and finish ; Good ergonomics for a large phone ; Buttery-smooth performance ; Pretty display ; Strong battery life

Camera remains mediocre ; In-display fingerprint reader is inconsistent ; Lacks wireless charging ; Still not fully waterproof ; Quiet loudspeaker

Without a great camera, without wireless charging, and with a headline feature that disappoints, the OnePlus 6T is not the unequivocal winner it might have been. It’s just a good phone at a favorable price. For most people, that will be enough.

OnePlus 6T review: Android's rebel phone goes mainstream—with a punkish purple streak

The 6T is the first OnePlus phone to be sold in a carrier store, and it makes a strong first impression.

Gorgeous design with a fantastic purple gradient option ; Excellent specs, battery, and display ; Low price as always

Camera is still unremarkable ; No wireless charging, headphone jack, or water resistance

There’s a lot to like about the OnePlus 6T. It has the core silicon best specs you can get in an Android phone, an excellent screen, fantastic design, and a super-cool, next-gen unlocking method. It costs hundreds of dollars less than its Snapdragon...

OnePlus 6T Review : Clawing its way to the top

This week we're taking a look at the OnePlus 6T, the second of the company's yearly smartphone duo. The OnePlus 6T isn't the same as previous "tock" phones in the OnePlus "tick tock" strategy. Instead of refining the phone they've released earlier in...

Ideal software: Only helpful mods made to Android ; Battery lasts all day, easily ; Display is bright and colorful, size is ideal ; Notch is least obtrusive notch in the industry ; OnePlus-made cases are top-notch: Red silicone case shown

Lacks headphone jack, provided dongle is basic ; Ever-so-slightly thicker than OnePlus 6 ; No microSD expandable storage slot ; Not waterproof ; No wireless charging

OnePlus 6T Smartphone Review

The 6T element. OnePlus has announced its latest flagship killer, which is subtly different from its predecessor that we reviewed back in August. Notably, the 6T has a larger display thanks to its smaller notch, but it has dropped the headphone jack....

powerful ; plenty of storage and RAM ; decent GPS accuracy ; current and fast software ; 60 FPS gaming ; impressive battery life ; robust case

no headphone jack ; slow Wi-Fi speeds (currently) ; in-screen fingerprint sensor is unreliable ; no microSD card slot ; VoLTE not supported on all networks that carry the device ; average speaker ; case is not water or dust resistant

Yes, the OnePlus 6T is a true flagship killer that packs in the essentials while also having great battery life. Regional price differences aside, the 6T has a marginally higher starting price than its predecessor, but you do get double the storage for...

OnePlus 6T vs Honor View20

Few are the phones as compelling as the 6T, which blends high-end specs and excellent performance with affordable cost. Well, that's until now with the release of the Honor View 20! Who's going to come out on top?

OnePlus 6T Review

OnePlus has emerged as the go-to company for people who want a fast and reliable phone at a great price. The latest OnePlus 6T perfects this formula and adds a futuristic, in-screen fingerprint scanner…

Fast performance ; Excellent battery life ; Plentiful storage in even base model ; Mute switch is super useful ; Very fast charging

In-screen fingerprint scanner doesn't always work on first try ; Gesture navigation does not feel perfectly refined ; No wireless charging ; Only partial waterproofing
