Kazam Tornado 348 Smartphone Review

Lithe and lissome. The British manufacturer Kazam holds a record: The Kazam Tornado 348 is the thinnest smartphone in the world. Our review will check the other qualities of the smartphone.

Very thin chassis, Sturdy and nice, Good handling, Decent 3D performance, Good camera pictures, High-contrast display, Accurate GPS

No SD slot and just 16 GB internal storage, Limited number of mobile frequencies, No 5 GHz WLAN, Mediocre microphone, Speaker pretty quiet, Dark display, Average processor performance, Temperatures a bit too high, Short battery runtimes

We cannot really say that the Kazam Tornado 348 can rough up the mainstream competition. It certainly has some positive aspects like the extremely thin, sturdy and nice chassis or the display with its rich colors and the good viewing angles.

This thin iPhone impersonator falls short

Super slim, well-built design ; Decent battery life despite the thin profile ; Slick overall performance

Sluggish camera shutter ; Awkward button placement

As with all Kazam phones, the Tornado 348 is covered by the company’s free screen replacement cover as standard. That means if you accidentally smash the device’s display within the first 12 months of ownership – and many of us know how easy that can...

Kazam Tornado 348 review

Thin when you're winning

Thin design ; Excellent AMOLED screen ; Screen replacement service ; Good camera

No microSD, 4G or NFC ; Not 1080p screen ; Patchy front-facing camera ; Better value elsewhere

A great screen and unblemished Android experience wrapped in a strikingly thin and light chassis. But compromises made to achieve the design mean functionality suffers and the result really lets the Tornado 348 down.

Kazam Tornado 348 Review: In Depth

For a fleeting moment, Kazam's new Tornado 348 held the title of ‘the world's thinnest smartphone' (until Oppo pulled the rug out from under its...

Great design ; Solid display ; Impressive customer service

No 4G or NFC ; Non-expandable storage ; Average camera experience

For a brand you likely haven’t heard of, the Kazam Tornado 348 makes a pretty big statement.

Kazam Tornado 348 review

The phone that makes the iPhone 6 look chunky

Super-slim and fairly well-made ; Fair battery life given stature ; Amazon Mayday-like customer service

No 4G ; Disappointing screen for the price ; Not great value

It’s slim and well-made, but there are some better options at £250

Kazam Tornado 348 review

You might not have heard of Kazam but the firm has produced the thinnest smartphone in the world. Here's our Kazam Tornado 348 review. Also see: Best smartphones 2014 and Best Android phones 2014.

If you're looking for the thinnest and lightest smartphone possible then look no further than the Kazam Tornado 348. However, the design of this phone has a negative effect elsewhere and the phone falls down compared to rivals in terms of hardware and...

Kazam Tornado 348 review

  (Rating Hidden)

Kazam is a lesser-known mobile phone brand trying to make an impact on the smartphone market. The powerfully named Kazam Tornado 348 is one of its more premium mobiles. With its sleek glass design, it's claimed to be the thinnest handset in the world....

Kazam Tornado 348 review

Every time a smartphone claims to be the thinnest in the world, we take notice. And at just 5.15mm the Kazam Tornado 348 would appear to be this week's slimmest smartphone. But is the British-based firm's pride and joy slim in body, but also slim on...

Very slim, decent spec, good battery life

So-so camera

The Kazam Tornado 348 is an enviably slim smartphone and feels very well built too. Its specs are resolutely midrange but it's a decent performer and if it's let down a little by its under-par camera, at least the price is reasonable.

Kazam Tornado 348 hands-on review

We get to grips with the 'world's slimmest' smartphone

The Tornado 348 is a brilliantly made smartphone which feels very high-end despite its relatively low price of just £250. Saying that, it didn't seem as graceful as we'd like when manoeuvring around the OS but was generally responsive to most commands....
