Review: A $229 unlocked phone that marries the Galaxy S5 to the Moto G

Kogan's Agora 4G is a solid midrange phone with a couple of quirks.

All-plastic construction, but it feels solid instead of cheap and slippery ; Nice 720p screen ; A good fit for people who like the Moto G, but find it to be too small ; Decent performance and battery life ; Respectable camera for the price ;...

Has a removable back, but no removable battery ; Not much internal storage, and no software additions to make SD card management easier ; GPS is fine at finding your general location, poor at pinpointing your exact location

The Agora 4G (left) is just a bit larger than the Nexus 5, but they share the same screen size.

Kogan Agora 4G: budget priced LTE

Last year saw Aussie e-tailer Kogan release its quad-core Agora phone, the first in Australia to retail for under AU$200, with equally low price tags in other markets: $189 in the US and £149 in the UK.

The Kogan Agora 4G has solid quad-core performance, 4G connectivity, and a surprisingly stylish design, all at a bargain basement price

Sadly the camera is also bargain basement and the screen is a little dull, with poor visibility in sunlight

There are better 4G phones to be found, but none of them come close to the low price tag on the Kogan Agora 4G.

Kogan Agora 4G Review – Amazing step up in Quality from Kogan

The concept of a Kogan branded smartphone is not new, the latest Kogan Agora 4G is the third phone Ruslan Kogan has brought to market and while the first and second were good low-cost low-end phones, this latest one might just surprise you – It did me.

Kogan Agora 4G: Australian Review

Kogan isn't alone in the low-cost Android game these days. Can it keep up with the bigger names in the fight for your bottom dollar?

So it seems that Kogan’s claim of having the cheapest 4G phone on the market in Australia right now holds up. Pretty spectacularly too, I must say. Whenever I pick up a cheap Android handset, I imagine the things I’d rather live with on a day-to-day...
