LG GD510 Pop review: Mobile pop culture

It looks like LG have been playing their own version of will it blend. There's no need to tell you they're not playing for fun - they're rather trying to squeeze some more cash off a couple of hot-selling handsets. So, here's the deal. Get your blender...

3.0" 256K-color TFT LCD touchscreen display (240x400 pixels) ; 3.15 megapixel fixed focus camera, QVGA video @ 15fps ; Quad-band GSM support ; Bluetooth with A2DP and microUSB v2.0 ; microSD card memory expansion ; Standard microUSB port ; FM radio...

No 3G support, no Wi-Fi ; Display has poor sunlight legibility ; No DivX/XviD video support ; Camera lacks autofocus and flash ; Video recording maxes out at QVGA@15fps ; No standard 3.5mm audio jack

You can go ahead and call it the new Cookie, or the low-cost Arena, but the LG Pop is quite obviously keen to have its own purpose and personality. The optional battery cover fitting a solar panel and the all-round eco-friendliness are one way for it...

LG Pop GD510 Review

The LG Pop GD510 is an ultra compact and truly likeable, affordable handset with touch-sensitive screen and design that allows for installation of a solar panel. In our opinion, this is one of the best cell phones in its class. How come? Well, read on...

LG Pop GD510 Preview

The LG Pop GD510 is today´s latest pop icon… erm, what we mean is it´s a brand new affordable handset with touch-sensitive screen that is impressive with its compact size and likeable design. Is this the killer of the Samsung Star S5230 and successor...

LG GD510 Pop

The Pop is LG's smallest touchscreen phone to date but has too much been taken out to keep the size down?

LG Pop GD510 review

Has LG scraped too much off this budget touchscreen?

Attractive design with slim, lightweight build Comfortably usable interface ; Good quality audio performance ; Decent text message experience ; 3-megapixel camera ; Sub-£100 price tag

No 3G or Wi-Fi high-speed data connectivity ; Slow browsing and online app experience ; Limited feature set ; Camera limited, with no flash or autofocus ; Video capture quality poor

A decent device for those on a budget - but you do very much get what you pay for.

LG GD510 Pop

At just £99.95, the LG Pop is an excellent buy. The Korean company heralds it as the world's smallest touchscreen phone but to merit the handset merely for its size is to do it an injustice. Yes it has a 3-inch touchscreen and, yes, the casing around...

Fantastic value, very usable and lovely design on a budget

No 3G, no Wi-Fi, no 3.5mm jack

LG has really done an excellent job with the Pop. It's a great handset to use if you don't want to spend big on a mobile phone. The slow internet connectivity is a bit of a bind given that the software is there ready and waiting to help you access...

LG GD510 Cookie Pep Mobile Phone

LG's Cookie has enjoyed a fair ranking among the youth-oriented, affordable touchscreen handsets. One of the follow ups is this, the GD510 or Cookie Pep as it's popularly called. With it's low price tag, funky features and brand name it could be a...

With a price tag of Rs. 6,000 (MOP), it’s a great choice for those looking for a social networking ready touchscreen handset that's quite a capable media device as well. It does have a few quirks, but in the larger scheme of things, it still manages to...

The first bona fide budget touchphone, the LG Cookie, tasted sweet success. Can its follow-up, the LG Pop, taste similar chart success?

The pint-sized Pop is no world-beater, but touchphone fans on a tight budget should certainly give it an audition

LG POP GD510 review -

The world?s smallest touch-screen phone maintains a build and design gravitas

Browsing via EDGE data speeds can lead to some thumb twiddling, while the webpage zoom option proved temperamental

LG Pop GD510

LG is looking to stem Samsung's entry-level touch phone dominance with the compact Pop GD510, set to take on the likes of the Genoa and Star. And from what we have experienced it's definitely a contender.

S-class user interface is cool and intuitive, very compact design, nice interchangeable covers.

Landscape keyboard isn't the most finger friendly, no flash for camera, no 3G, no 3.5 mm jack.
