Nothing is a relatively new brand itself but their subbrand - CMF - is even more recent and so far limited itself to offering smartphone accessories with...
Unique, standout design with a focus on customizability, repairability and sustainability.
No charger in the box.
We have no doubt that the CMF Phone 1 will find its fanbase.

I used this $199 smartphone to cover a launch event in Paris and it was nearly flawless.
Excellent performance. Solid camera. Two-day battery life. Sharp and bright AMOLED screen. Well-designed software with good software support. Fun accessories and unique design.
Spotty band support in the US. No NFC.

The CMF Phone 1 captures some of the fun of modular smartphones for a fraction of the usual price. But US buyers might want to avoid it...
Clever accessories ; Solid battery life ; Good Dimensity 7300 performance ; Fun Nothing OS ; Excellent value
Cheap plastic build ; Poor camera flexibility ; No NFC ; Weak US support for carriers and accessories
At the end of the day, I really, really like the idea behind the CMF Phone 1, especially at its very competitive price point. I enjoy swapping the accessories in and out and knowing that the hardware screws will keep them locked securely in place. I...

I'm hoping the next CMF Phone will be more and more modular, until a truly modular phone comes out.

The CMF Phone 1 is the first smartphone from Nothing's sub-brand, CMF. Find out my honest opinion in this full review on whether it is worth buying.
Unique design ; Excellent battery life ; Bloatware-free Nothing OS 2.6 ; Smooth 120 Hz AMOLED screen ; Very decent performance
Only 3 years of updates ; Disappointing camera performance ; Slow wired charging ; No NFC support

Nothing's CMF Phone 1 is easily one of the most interesting budget-focused phones we've seen for a long time, even if it's not perfect.
Attractive, fun design ; Very accessible price point ; Big, bright and vibrant display
Second camera is only for depth sensing ; IP52 rating means little moisture protection ; Slow charging
While Nothing’s CMF Phone 1 won’t be competing with some of the most capable phones around, its modular design charm, attractive Android user interface and solid everyday performance all punch well above its £209 price point.
