More Info Samsung Galaxy Note II (N7100) review Samsung Galaxy Note II (T-Mobile) hands-on Samsung Galaxy Note II (AT&T) hands-on The Samsung Galaxy Note II is coming to America, and unlike its predecessor, it's not being as quiet about the move. In a...

T-Mobile's best performing phone to date ; WiFi calling ; Wonderful battery life ; Compatible with T-Mobile's 42Mbps HSPA+ network

T-Mobile's version is more expensive ; Multi-window not available at launch

T-Mobile's Galaxy Note II is nearly identical to the global model, and is the best phone on its lineup so far -- as long as you're willing to pay a premium.

Samsung Galaxy Note II US review: One for all

Following closely the footsteps of its international sibling, the US Samsung Galaxy Note II takes on our review course. Just like its smaller brother, the Galaxy S III, the Samsung Galaxy Note II is launching across all major carriers.

Quad-band GSM and quad-band 3G with 21 Mbps HSDPA and 5.76 Mbps HSUPA support ; LTE connectivity (carrier dependent) ; 5.5" 16M-color Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen of HD (720 x 1280 pixel) resolution ; Android OS v4.1 with TouchWiz launcher ; 1.6...

Large size makes single-hand operation problematic ; No dedicated camera key ; All plastic construction (would have probably weighed a ton otherwise, though) ; No FM radio (the N7100 has one)

A year ago, the Samsung Galaxy Note was barely taken seriously as a contender in the smartphone race. Several million units sold later, it is a wide spread consensus that Samsung has created and claimed for itself a brand new niche in the smartphone...

Samsung Galaxy Note II (Verizon Wireless)

With a fast quad-core processor, a big, gorgeous display, and features galore, the Samsung Galaxy Note II delivers almost everything a huge-screen smartphone should—just make sure you look at the HTC Droid DNA first.

Massive high-definition screen. Fast quad-core processor. Includes a pressure-sensitive stylus and well-designed note-taking and drawing software. Runs Android 4.1 "Jelly Bean" out of the box. Good call quality. Stellar battery life.

Very large. A few minor hiccups in gaming performance. Samsung's heavy UI layer isn't to everyone's taste.

Review: Samsung Galaxy Note II

If you must have a gigantic smartphone, the Note II is a solid performer. But the problems of the first-generation Note -- unwieldy size, messy software, gimmicky stylus -- still haunt the sequel.

One of the fastest, most powerful smartphones Samsung has ever built. Two-day battery life is phenomenal. Front and rear cameras are great. The same phone is offered on AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, U.S. Cellular. The display is beautiful and great...

The 5.5-inch display and stylus make the Note II unwieldy, and it requires two hands to do just about anything with it. The stylus is a novelty and doesn’t improve productivity. S Voice is the worst digital assistant app out there. Samsung’s TouchWiz...

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 review: The ultimate anti-iPhone

Its enormous screen, innovative stylus, and emphasis on NFC make Samsung's stepped-up Galaxy Note 2 "phablet" the philosophical opposite of Apple's iPhone 5.

Oodles of screen real estate make the ; terrific for videos, games, and reading; and its improved stylus aids productivity. A blazing quad-core processor, a great camera, and strong battery life round out the advantages of this Android 4.1 phone.

The huge display makes the Galaxy Note 2 unwieldy to carry, and hiccups in the S Pen stylus and apps can slow you down. The pricey Note 2 isn't a suitable tablet replacement across all categories.

Samsung delivers a powerful, boundary-pushing device that gets a lot right. Yet its complicated features and high price raise questions about its purpose.
