Sony Xperia X, X Performance and XA: Sony at MWC 2016

As most others focus on phablets, Sony showed the 5" market a lot of love with the new Xperia X series. The Xperia X Performance is essentially a Z-phone in disguise. Better yet, not even the Z5 has a brushed metal back.

Sony Xperia XA review: It has the looks, but it comes at a cost

Despite its dapper design, you should avoid the mediocre Sony Xperia XA. It's too expensive for what you get.

With a super-skinny bezel, the Sony Xperia XA is a great-looking phone that's comfortable to use in one hand.

Its low screen resolution, short-lived battery and meagre amount of built-in storage are major setbacks. Sony has loaded the phone with a horrible mess of bloatware.

Unless slick style is your only concern, skip the Sony Xperia XA for a cheaper phone with better features.

Sony Xperia XA

The Sony Xperia XA is a good-looking unlocked Android phone, but it's too expensive for what you get.

Attractive bezel-less design. Solid camera performance. Expandable storage. NFC and dual-band Wi-Fi.

Relatively pricey. Sluggish performance. Lackluster display. Mediocre battery life.

Conclusions For $280, the Sony Xperia XA just doesn't bring enough to the table to justify its price. Despite a high-quality it suffers from sluggish performance, mediocre battery life, and a relatively low-resolution display. The Blu R1 HD gets you...

Sony Xperia XA Smartphone Review

Golden times? With its Xperia XA, Sony sends a new designer piece into the smartphone mid-range ring. Esthetes in particular should notice the slim lateral display bezel and the plain build right away. But are the inner values enough to keep the rivals...

slim casing ; dedicated camera button ; micro-SD slot with App2SD ; Micacast , USB OTG and DLNA support ; 5 GHz WiFi ; decent front-facing camera with autofocus ; bright screen ; decent total performance ; Android 6.0 Marshmallow ; good call quality...

short battery life ; no fingerprint scanner ; touchscreen issues in review sample ; poor hands-free performance ; primary camera's focus issues in videos ; non-removable battery ; No Pump Express+ 2.0 charger included

Sony's new Xperia XA mid-range smartphone reaps in some plus points with its good configuration: The 16 GB internal storage is easily expandable with a micro-SD card, the micro-USB port is OTG compatible, and NFC is also on board. However, a...

Sony Xperia XA Review

The Sony Xperia XA is a new and affordable 5-inch Android phone that aims to win your attention with its eye-catchy looks and futuristic, edge-to-edge display.

Cool edge-to-edge display and likable design ; Decent general performance ; Separate camera shutter key

Lacks a fingerprint scanner ; Battery life is below average ; Camera quality is uninspiring ; Lacks proper 4G LTE bands in the United States ; Overpriced

When you draw the line, the Sony Xperia XA appears to be nothing more than a good-looking affordable phone with little extraordinary above that.

Sony Xperia XA: The Beautifully flawed budget phone [REVIEW]

The Sony Xperia XA is the latest from Sony's line up of the Xperia X series. The XA is the mid range fairly inexpensive version of them all which consist of the X, XA Ultra and X Performance. The XA is the phone I found most intriguing since the others...

Sony Xperia XA review

The Sony Xperia XA is a beautifully-styled phone, with an "Infinity Glass" design giving it high-end looks at an affordable price. It's fast too, thank to its 8-core processor, and dual-core GPU. But the screen's resolution is on the low side, and...

The Xperia XA has a beautiful design and fast performance, but in other areas it's not as good as we'd like. The screen isn't as sharp as most rivals, the camera isn't anything special, and the battery life is definitely trending low.

Sony Xperia XA review: overcharging on entrance

The Sony Xperia XA is the low-cost entry in Sony's new lineup. Apart from the cameras and the battery life, it offers a mediocre serving. Find out why it might still be of interest in our full review of the Sony Xperia XA.

Surprisingly good cameras

Not enough free storage ; Slow ; Poor battery life for a Sony device

Sony has boiled the Xperia XA down to two key features of the lower upper class: camera and design. However, looking to the left and right in this price range reveals some better alternatives. These might not take better pictures or look so chic, but...

Sony Xperia XA

Sony is becoming irrelevant in the mobile space. Its high-end phones are increasingly dull and forgettable, highlighted by the recent Sony Xperia X, and it's now falling behind in the mid-range space thanks to the OnePlus 3, Moto G4 Plus and Vodafone...

Sony Xperia XA review

Does XA beat the XZ?

Slim design ; Simple interface ; Decent selfie camera

Weak battery life ; Disappointing camera ; Screen is only 720p

The Sony Xperia XA is slim and pocketable, but problems with performance and battery life mean there are better choices out there.
