ZTE Chorus (Cricket Wireless)

The ZTE Chorus is an interesting Android-based feature phone that supports Cricket's Muve Music service, but it comes with some serious flaws.

Interesting Android-based UI. Decent Web browser. Muve Music service has improved.

Unresponsive touch screen. Terrible battery life. Flimsy build. Poor camera. Mediocre call quality. Limited storage options. Static hiss through headphones. Smartphone plans costs just $10 more per month.

Oddly, there's also no built-in email support, which is one of Android's strongest features, though you can access it within the browser. There are three home screens you can swipe between, though I couldn't tell if the lack of responsiveness was from...

"Good phone with attractive features"

This phone has a built-in music library courtesy of Cricket's MuveMusic software. This phone isn't bad if you're on a tight budget and primarily want to listen to music.

It has poor touchscreen and the battery life is poor.

"Literally the worst phone I have ever owned."

Oh. my. God. Where to start? This phone is absolutely awful. First things first, the battery life is terrible. Even when your not using it, it's dieing fast. This phone doesn't have a stand-by time of a couple days, it has a stand-by time of a few...

Absolutely nothing.

Everything. Read my summary.

"This unit is an expensive MP3 player."

Look else where if you are interested in an actual phone! You literally have to babysit this phone to use it as a PHONE in receiving calls. it is a phone that isn't a phone.

None that I can see at this point.

The purpose of a phone is to make and RECEIVE calls. If phone is idle it turns off and all calls go into voice mail. The phone does not turn back or wakes itself back up when a call comes in.

"Good idea, but totally unusable phone and service."

Would never use nor recommend ZTE and Cricket after this experience. I feel ripped off for the short time I was with them. It's a real shame the system never worked. The music system SEEMED like a cool idea as an alternative to Pandora streaming, but...

Music feature seemed like a cool idea...

Battery never lasted more than 3 hours. I would need to keep plugged in constantly to use-it stayed hot all the time. Cricket was unresponsive to the problems with this phone & service, they even hid their 800 number once you sign in to your account.

"It is Android, believe it or not!"

People keep saying that this is not Android, but those people are misinformed. It is Android. But it does not come with the Android Market that most Android phones come with. So how do you install apps? You download them with your computer and place...

Unlmited music, Great sound with the headphones that come with it. Touch screen is pretty responsive.

No Android Market or Wifi

"Great phone!"

I love my phone and I would highly recommend it to friends or family. This phone isn't "bulky" and the song selection is great. There is one thing I would add and that would be a GPS...

I almost always have bars & am not stuck running out of a building 2 take a call. The muvemusic is wonderful thing 2 have when working out or just want 2 listen 2 music. It will let you know you have a call during music play so you don't miss one.

I have marked this down one star because I can't download any apps. I am having to bring my phone to a cricket store to be fixed.

"Filled with glitches, freezes while sending MMS."

Look for other options, service plan is $45 for 1000 minutes, by the time taxes are added you're paying $50.00, not such a great deal. Phone is not worth this mandatory plan, this phone should be considered a regular phone and this plan should not be...

Cell coverage provided by Sprint network, not bad as a phone.

Cricket sales person sold it as a droid, this thing is nothing like a droid phone. Battery life is horrible. Music selection is terrible unless you like to listen to the same crap they play on the radio. Not a good buy.

"AWESOME PHONE FOR CRICKET"

A "dumb phone" that acts like a droid, is the best way to explain this device. It has a touchscreen, and includes some awesome apps. It supports Muve music, that is offered by Cricket. It offers stereo bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack (halleujah...
