Antec CP-850 850 watt Power Supply Review

Et tu, Brute?" This is what Julius said to his close friend, Marcus Junius Brutus, as Marcus stabbed him, on the Ides of March, according to Shakespeare. And it was all over power. There have always been powerful figures in literature and history, and...

As you saw, I had my system loaded up and still the CP-850 was able to take on what I could give it in stride. It was able to supply power easily to my 6 HDDs, CPU, 4870 X2 OC'd, and everything else I had plugged into it and it did not give off a...

Antec TruePower Quattro 850

It's hard to stand out in the power supply market, there really isn't that much you can do to a power supply that hasn't been done a few times at this point. Companies really have to depend on word of mouth and high wattage ratings to get people to...

Review: Antec TruePower Quattro 850Watt Power Supply

I've always been a fan of Antec products and I probably always will be, their design is very elegant and stylish, but yet under that style and class is something that is made to last for a lifetime, true quality engineering and manufacture. Today for...

Looks cool ; Very quiet ; Stable and reliable ; Quality made by Antec ; Excellent warranty ; Lots of power ; Able to handle newest video cards

Not enough connections on the power supply itself really

The Antec TruePower Quattro 850Watt power supply is quiet, stable and powerful, you can't ask for much more in a power supply than that.

Antec TruePower Quattro (TPQ-850) 850W

It could be said that Antec has been "waiting in the wings" as far as getting a large capacity power supply to market. While other companies have been offering 1000W and up power supplies for over a year, Antec's largest offering has been a 650W that,...

Ample power ; Active Power Factor Correction ; Very minimal ripple and noise ; Excellent voltage regulation ; Very quiet for a PSU with an 80MM fan ; Nice sleeved cables

Not efficient at loads less than 200W

The only real argument against this power supply is the poor efficiency at low loads. If you have a chance to plug your PC into a Kill-A-Watt or similar device and find that your PC only draws 200W AC or less from the wall, then I don't suggest this...
