The XPS 18 is too large to work as a tablet, yet too small to compete with premium all-in-ones.
Manufacturers are currently experimenting with many hybrid designs. Some are based on laptops, others take inspiration from all-in-ones, and all of them are testing uncharted waters. Consumers seem to want a do-it-all device, but actually delivering it...

A lot like a big tablet with a docking station, the latest iteration of the Dell XPS 18 is thin, easy to tote around the house, and delivers 5+-hour battery life. That's more than enough to call this portable all-in-one desktop best in class.
Five-hour battery life. Portable around the house. Thinner and lighter than previous portable all in one PCs. Bundled charging stand has a wide range of tilt. 12-month McAfee Security subscription.
Stand lacks USB connectivity Limited ports. Kickstands are plastic/polycarbonate.
Though you likely won't be carrying the Dell XPS 18 (1820) on your daily commute, the system is certainly a worthy companion for moving around the house. Its battery pack gives you a healthy amount of rundown time, so you won't have to search for a...

The Dell XPS 18 falls somewhere between a large-screen ultrabook and a dedicated all-in-one desktop PC.
Portable around the house. Huge screen for a portable. Thinner and lighter than previous portable all in ones. Ultrabook performance in a tablet form factor. Wi-Di compatible. 12 month subscription to McAfee Security.
Stand is charging only. Limited ports. Kickstands are plastic/polycarbonate.

This 18-inch tablet doubles as a decent all-in-one, but you'll pay a premium for the flexibility.
The ; combines an all-in-one PC with a lightweight 18-inch tablet, making it a flexible system for at-home entertainment and productivity.
You're paying a premium for a relatively small screen. Less expensive configurations cut too many corners to be a good deal.
It's the best of the small handful of current tablet/all-in-one hybrids, with a subtle, sophisticated design and good battery life, but this new genre is still in its early days.

The most massive "tablet" you'll ever use - if you don't count the Lenovo IdeaCentre Horizon 27 - is sitting on SlashGear's review bench this week: the Dell XPS 18 . The reason we'd call it a "tablet" is because you can, indeed, rest it on your lap and...
What Dell has created here is a truly unique amalgamation of elements. This computer can be a massive tablet, it can be a desktop machine, and it can be carried around in a custom-fitted carrying case that’s also already out on the market. This isn’t a...

All-inclusive. Dell calls its 18.4-inch tablet an All-in-One. We review the XPS 18 with a Core i5, 8 GB memory and a combined storage solution with an HDD and an SSD. Continue reading to find out how it performs...
IPS display with good viewing angle stability, Good color fidelity, Dual channel RAM, Very good overall concept, Excellent build quality, Great keyboard, Mouse and charging dock included, Easy to maintain, Numerous accessories available, Full CPU...
Reduced GPU performance running on battery, Quite loud under load, Grayscale presentation could be better, More ports are only available with an external solution, which is pretty pricey at 169 Euros (~$219)

This complete review of the Dell XPS 18 goes over all practical aspects of this computer to give you an accurate picture of how it is
If you look at its dual identities by themselves, then you’ll see it isn’t as powerful as a desktop computer and it isn’t as mobile as an ultrabook, laptop or tablet. But what it lacks in power and portability, it more than makes up for with its sleek,...

The XPS 18 was already one of our favorite all-in-one PCs because it's portable enough to use in pretty much any room you like. We also continue to dig the versatile stand and family-friendly gaming action. This new version lasts more than an hour...
Portable, tablet-like design ; Good battery life for an all-in-one ; Powerful performance ; Included stand with wireless charging
Tinny audio ; So-so graphics
The latest version of the XPS 18 gets more power and battery life, making our top portable all-in-one PC even better.

Portable yet works well as a desktop PC, Sharp and colorful full HD IPS touch screen, very good build quality
Not the machine for gamers, at 5 lbs. and 18.4" the tablet isn't wildly portable. No HDMI, VGA or DisplayPort for second monitor
After spending a month with the Dell XPS 18, it's hard not to really like it. The lovely IPS display, occasional portability and quiet performance are strong selling points. It looks attractive, is well made and stays cool thanks to the low powered...
