Casio Exilim EX-Z80 Black Digital Camera

The tiny Casio Exilim EX-Z80 packs a lot of features for $180, going above and beyond much of its competition. About the length and width of a credit card and just 0.5 inch thick, this camera fits into a pocket with the ease of a flip phone. Encased in...

Lots of neat, fun settings ; Huge LCD

Tiny buttons aren't easy to press ; No zoom while shooting video

Alas, like most cameras in the sub-$200 range, this Exilim doesn't have crystal-clear optics. Though color was very good and easy to alter with the camera's white balance and filter settings, photos lost sharpness at their outer edges, artifacts popped...

Casio Exilim EX-Z80

The Casio Exilim EX-Z80 is a tiny, stylish camera with an abundance of scene modes. Too bad its photo and video quality weren't as appealing as its looks.

Compact, handsome design. Comfortable feel. Good macro shots. Smorgasbord of scene modes.

Mediocre pictures and video. Abysmal resolution. Blue-green fringing. Underexposed flash shots. Noise at relatively low ISO. Atypical USB jack/cable.

Casio Exilim EX-Z80 Review

If you were to ask folks the first name that comes to mind upon hearing the word "camera" chances are you'd get a preponderance of "Canon," "Nikon," "Olympus," and "Pentax," with perhaps a smattering of "Sony" and maybe even a "Leica" or "Hasselblad"...

Image, color and build quality on a par with competition, Good range of image adjustments for an auto camera

Monitor dot composition about half of most competitors, Stabilization via ISO boost
