FujiFilm FinePix S5600 review

Just how low can you go and still maintain quality?

Good budget option

Nothing excellent other than the price

A good all-rounder with plenty of clout in terms of exposure modes and optical performance. The FujiFilm S5600 offers terrific value for money for those looking for a long-range zoom camera for under £300.

Fuji FinePix S5600 digital camera

Like its predecessors, the 5600 is surprisingly compact with handling and simple use at its core, but is it any good?

Design and handling is good overall, the lens offers plenty of zooming scope and while small the 5600’s LCD screen is bright and pin-sharp

The EVF, it’s grainy, gloomy, and hard to use as a result

The 5600 provides just enough in terms of new kit and more advanced shooting options to make it a worthy upgrade of the 5500. The EVF is a nightmare, as was macro focusing, but the overall package, with its improved image noise suppressions and manual...

Fujifilm FinePix S5600fd

The FinePix S6500fd is a lightweight megazoom which performs well in low-light with high ISO settings. But if you are a sports photographer, there are better cameras out there.

Lightweight ; Compatible with AA-sized batteries ; 10.7x optical zoom that begins from 28mm ; High ISO up to 3,200 ; Face detection feature ; Manual zoom during movie recording

Difficult to toggle focus mode switch ; No dedicated ISO button ; Mediocre bundled software ; Continuous shooting mode disappointing

The S6500fd is a well-engineered camera with some design flaws that is forgivable given its performance. It makes a great buy for the basic user who wants a good-looking camera that performs, at a budget price. More advanced users may be put off by the...

Fujifilm FinePix S5600

Being lightweight and capable of taking quality images, this shooter is ideal for amateurs and photography enthusiasts who want to strike a balance between looking semi-professional and having the optical power.

Flexible and user-customisable ISO settings ; Anti-blur mode ; 11 shooting modes ; Lightweight ; Uses AA batteries ; 10x zoom

Finger gets in the way when using the EVF during zooming ; No battery indication until power is almost used up

With an impressive range of ISO 64 to 1,600, the camera made it possible to achieve high-quality images even in very low-light conditions. Coupled with the anti-blur mode, we were gently pleased with the outcome. Images were taken with minimal noise...

Fuji FinePix S5600 Zoom

If this superb Fuji camera, sporting a 10x optical zoom complemented by anti-shake technology, was a fraction cheaper, it would have dropped into the budget price category. That might give the impression that the FinePix S5600 is a limited camera but...

The FinePix S5600 Zoom is one of those cameras that gets better and better with use. It really grew on us as we explored the multitude of shooting options, and it helped immensely that it feels right in the hand. And that price is incredible.

Fuji Finepix S5600

Fuji Finepix S5600 Review and Where to Find the Best Prices. One of the more easy to use super zoom digital camera. Has five megapixels and a ten times optical zoom lens.

Build and design ; Value for money ; Ease of use

Nothing really stands out

"If you are looking for a relatively inexpensive digital camera with a long optical zoom lens then take a look at the Fuji Finepix S5600. It takes good pictures, is easy to use and is much cheaper than many similar models."

Fujifilm FinePix S5600

FujiFilm has earned its reputation for producing SLR-styled looking cameras. This S5600 is the latest edition to the S series which is distinguished by the long focal zoom lens. A great all rounder with a large number of exposure modes allowing for a grea

Review: Fujifilm FinePix S5600

A good 5 megapixel all-rounder at a reasonable price - the FinePix S5600

The large, easy to use mode dial

The lack of rechargeable batteries

This isn't the smallest camera or the highest resolution you can find at this price, but it's a reasonable all rounder at a good price; budget for some AA rechargeable batteries and a bigger card than the 16MB xD that's included though.
