The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T90 puts high-def shooting in your pocket at a great price.

Good image quality. Large, wide, and responsive touch screen. Records 720p high-def video. Wide selection of shooting and editing features. Fast start-up and recycle times.

Poor battery life. Soft images in bright conditions. Proprietary USB connection. ; Watch our Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T90 video review!

Sony DSC-T90 Review

SAN DIEGO, Feb. 17, 2009 - Sony today announced five new Cyber-shot cameras (models DSC-T900, DSC-T90, DSC-W290, DSC-W230 and DSC-H20) that make it easier to take the best pictures without changing settings. The intelligent auto mode, available on the...

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T90 Review

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T90 is a slim and stylish ultra-compact digital camera featuring a metal body, sliding front plate and folded optics. Measuring 13.9mm thick, highlights of the T90 include a 12.1 megapixel sensor, 35-140mm equivalent 4x zoom...

The T90 feels fairly run of the mill as far as Sony's Cyber-shot range goes, its designers seemingly reluctant to depart from the template laid down by previous successful incarnations. Add the fact it's not actually that much of a bargain at £289 and...

Sony DSC-T90 digital camera

This super-slim Sony fashion camera takes surprisingly good photos

Useful touch screen, good optical zoom and image stabilisation

Expensive, menus can be confusing

We were pleasantly surprised by the image quality of the Sony DSC-T90 digital camera, with its thin body hiding a competent lens and sensor. It has a few novelty features, like a touch screen and high-definition movie recording, and the design makes it...

Is Sony's Cyber-shot DSC-T90 worth its high price?

Touchscreen menus ; Very compact ; 1080 HD recording

Expensive

An excellent and innovative camera, but you pay for it

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T90 digital camera

Sony's latest snapshot, the DSC-T90, takes up the gauntlet thrown down by its predecessors and delivers beauty and simplicity married to almost anorexic proportions. No wonder it's referred to as a "fashion" model, here boasting a maximum width of a...

Solid feel build, small form factor, large-ish LCD, HD movies

Video isn’t full HD, no HDMI out, screen can get confusingly packed out with info at times

Small enough to carry in a pocket at all times, the T90 suggests itself as the ideal purchase for the happy snapper wanting better quality results than a camera phone will presently provide. It looks good too, even though Sony’s designers seem to be...

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T90

The T90 fails to entice us with its inadequate roster of features.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T90

Looking for a touchscreen camera? The T90 should be on your list as it packs a heck of a lot of features into a pretty stylish case.

Small and stylish ; Nice, consistent images if a little temperamental in studio situations ; HD video ; Optical zoom works while filming

Slippery to hold without wrist strap attached ; Fingers can obscure the lens if you hold the camera incorrectly ; Touchscreen is a little fidgety at times ; No wide-angle optics

If you must have a touchscreen camera, the T90 should definitely be on your shortlist. It delivers decent images for such a small shooter, and despite a few quirks with the screen itself, performs well in terms of intuitiveness and ease of use. Plus,...
