Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-TX100V Preview

Sony's sturdy Cyber-shot series is, of course, getting a full line of upgrades this year. CES buzzwords include 16.2 megapixel "Exmor R" back-illuminated CMOS sensor, 1080 HD movie recording, and 3D still images / panoramas.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX100V Review

The Cyber-shot TX100 is designed for the tech-savvy trendsetter.

Pocketable camera ; Stylish and tough ; Great video quality

Expensive ; Touch screen quirks ; Few manual inputs for advanced users

Indoor image quality is on par with competing digicams, but as sensitivity (automatically) rises to overcome lower levels of ambient lighting, noise levels rise exponentially and color accuracy suffers a bit. Noise levels are quite reasonable up to ISO...

Lab Test: Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX100V Review

Slim, stylish, and feature packed, the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-TX100V aims to be the “Ultimate Point-and-Shoot”

Slim, stylish good looks ; Simple to use, nice touchscreen interface ; Packed with great features

Very aggressive noise reduction ; Lacks manual controls ; Tricky to open

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX100V is a truly pocketable compact that offers nearly all of today’s must-have camera features. It’s a surprisingly competent camera that any point and shoot photographer should be able to pick up and straight away start...

Simple and fast

Great point and shoot with very few moving parts so great for dumping in a purse or pocket. Video at 1080p is awesome but having trouble handling on my Apple Mac.

Fast/accurate auto-focus, Good Image Quality, Small / Compact, Good Image Stabilization, Large Clear LCD

Limited Zoom, No Viewfinder

Amazing Feature Packed Camera - BUT

This thing is a toy. wish it were more. The OLED was very nice...but for instance the panorama can only be shot at 24mm wide angle which of course distorts everything - and the 3d, well, lets face it, if the two lenses aren't eye width apart it will...

16 Megapixels, 3d shooting, Super easy panorama

162mp only at 16x9 ratio, 3d tech in infancy stage, Panorama is now high res

It's great for on-the-fly shots. Quick to get it started and learn the menu system. It's really one of the best compact cameras out there. It does have some cons, and I recommend you learn more about it at [@]
