Sony Cyber Shot U review: Sony Cyber Shot U

Ultraportable; fast performance; easy-to-use menu system; PictBridge compatible; includes rechargeable AAA batteries and charger.

No optical viewfinder; small, stiff controls; no optical zoom; no exposure compensation; so-so image quality.

Snapshot photographers who value portability and style over advanced features and photo quality will like this sleek little camera.

Sony DSCU60 Digital Camera Reviewed

Looking a bit like R2D2, the Sony DSCU60 is a reasonably priced 2MP digital camera that has been designed from day one to be waterproof to a depth of 1.5m (5ft). Not a bad starting point for anyone looking to get their first digital camera,...

You can use it underwater!;, Easy to hold;, The box contains everything you need without further initial outlay: rechargeable batteries, charger, Memory Stick, USB cable

Might be a bit tricky for left-handed people;, The auto-focussing is a little bit on the slow side;, It can be a bit tricky to see what you are photographing underwater

The SonyCyber-shot DSC-U60 ($299) is probably the most bizarre-lookingdigital camera out there. But it's looks aren't what make itunique. Rather, it's the ability to go underwater, withouthaving to buy a special case, that defines the U60. But don'tget...

Waterproof for up to 5 feet, Very responsive, Durable plastic body, Surprisingly good battery life, NiMH batteries + charger included, Pretty good photos considering the size of the camera

Poor movie, playback modes, No real controls, like white balance and exposure compensation, No optical viewfinder, Clunky menus, Playback zoom feature doesn't allow scrolling, Redeye, Small LCD
