Sony Cyber-shot WX1 Review

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX1 brings the speed and low-light capability we loved in the much bigger HX1 down to pocket size.

Great low-light shooter ; Excellent 5x zoom ; 720p movie mode

Dense menus ; Some overexposure ; Auto exposure only

Noise levels are quite reasonable up to ISO 800, but noise levels increase noticeably at ISO 1600 and ISO 3200. Low light image quality is the WX1's main claim to fame and this camera offers users unprecedented (for a P&S digicam) automatic noise...

Sony Cyber Shot W review: Sony Cyber Shot W

Sony Cyber Shot W

2.5-inch LCD; quick burst mode; flexible controls; solid image quality.

No shutter- or aperture-priority mode; manual focus limited to six preset steps; subpar optical viewfinder.

Spectacular image sensor, reasuringly firm controls, with extra shortcut keys

Bulkier than its sibling the TX1, and only a bit cheaper

A fantastic camera, let down only slightly in the style stakes

New technologies, build quality, design
