So-So

i5, 8 gig ram, Nvidia graphics. Might be worth 5$?

Has complete study guides of all areas. Good practice tool

Very buggy. Would crash during 5 install attempts. Interface is sub par and very slow. It's just lazy programming, but software does include everything as stated. It's not very clean and makes you not want to spend time on it. My text book is much...

More info

(continued from above), the directional antenna worked bested when pointed at the broadcast peak (obviously), but the multidirectional antennas worked best turned 90 degrees away. In the living room, the direction was entirely different for the...

I want to add more info to my review of 1/23. The issues that some other users have with this product "locking up" the PC are probably due to loss of signal. I must stress how sensitive these devices are to signal strength. I tried three different...

THIS WORKS!!!

continued from above. I walked my house and yard inside and out including the attic. I ran the channel scan at each location until I find a place that received all the desired channels. Then I did a signal strength check on each channel. What I found...

I read the other reviews here and almost didn't buy this device, but I needed it right away so I bought it from a local store. Thanks everyone here for their comments. Here are mine. I am an IT manager with 40+ years experience w/hardware and software...

One one tuner. You can't watch and record simultaneously. I am ordering the Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250 because it has two tuners, but keeping this for my portable computer

Excellent with Win7 64bit

I got this for about 30 more dollars back when I bought it. For over the air to my media center (Zotac Zbox) it works as advertised. My area only gets basic ABC/NBC/CBS/FOX/PBS so I'm not sure how it would do at greater distance and with more...

Plug and play with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. Use Windows Media Center Remote. Still going strong for a year now. (cable tv free for 1.5 years! woo hoo)

Antenna is a bit underpowered. I live about 6 miles (as the crow flies) to the station towers and it pickes it up 'ok' as long as the antenna is in the window correctly. The suction cup falls off from time to time and the cord isn't very long. It...

Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-850 HDTV Adapter 1200 USB 2.0 Interface

Well worth the money. It's not expensive but works as well or better than the expensive ones I tried that would not recognize my tabletop cable box signal at all because it was not digital through coax out from the box.

Compact - slightly bigger than a thumb drive. Picks up local broadcast HDTV but if you don't live right in town near the broadcasters, you might want to get a better antennae that is supplied. Picks up digital Cable TV and HD but I could not access HBO...

Like I said above, not a very good antennae for aerial broadcast HDTV and no HDMI cable included for tabletop cable box connection. However, it may just be that my cable TV provider's box does not send HD digital signals via coaxial cable because if...

Over-The-Air never looked so good

Currently have this running on my ZOTAC media center with Windows 7 Pro x64. Been using it to record some primetime shows for my girlfriend, and it does it fantastically. Just watched the Oscars with it last night with no stops for signal retrieval. ...

Excellent tuner. A quick download from Hauppauge's site for the driver, and I was on my way. Windows Media Center picked it up and was finding channels soon after

A stronger antenna, maybe, but I live at the bottom of an apartment complex. The closer it is to the window, the more consistent it is

No Problems

Didn't use the software that was supplied. Windows Media center worked so well that i didn't even install it.

Loved this product. Plugged it into a XPS One that had a bad video card and everything went very smooth. Windows Media Center also picked right up on the incoming television signal and completely configured perfectly. Thinking about buying another one...

worthless trash

if you buy this get ready for "signal low error" this would not work even with an external tv tuner box which sent in a clear signal - it would work for a few minutes, then die. Support suggested I patch my Win 7x64 box with a "required update" that...

none

Software errors galore, can't download new version of drivers without the original CD, new software looks and works as badly as the old, horrendous waste of time. Manufacturers' tv tuner software looks like something from 1995, crashes Win 7 Media Center

easy to use, but no HD w/ cable

Item installs easily with included drivers and works great with Windows 7 Media Player

Heavily labeled HDTV, but you only get local HD channels with the antena. The unit does not pick up HD channels through the cable or satellite

60 22inch TV Yeah!

Despite that minor shortcoming, I think it was worth the buy considering it does perform as advertized. Asus P5N-D E8400 + Zalman 9700 4GB OCZ DDR2-800 1GB 256Bit XFX Geforce 250GTS

nice quality image, tv record very easy to navigate in case you need to get an important phone call during a crucial part of a program or something like that ; Works fine with my Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit OS

Just 2 things ; 1: It has an unusually long load time, about 20 seconds, which doesn't make good with the second issue ; 2: When changing the channel, it will periodically freeze, forcing me to kill the program in the task manager, then restarting it ;...
