Sony RDRHX710

While many of the Sony RDRHX710's features are great, they are poorly integrated, leaving the device disjointed and difficult to operate.

HQ+ 15Mbps recording mode, plenty of functions and options

No connection cables included, controls poorly integrated

The HX710 is an incredibly versatile and customisable recorder, but it can be difficult to use.

HDD error

I replaced a Medion dvd recorder in the mistaken belief that a Sony would be better. I echo the experience of other users - complete disaster. I am a gadget freak and I pride myself that I can get anything to work, but this has me beat. It is not...

the Sony 160gb HDD recorder

I bought this recorder just over a year ago & when i did get a chance too use it,, it was great,, Now all of a sudden all i get is HDD ERROR & the thing doesn't want to do anything,, trying to contact Sony corp is like pulling teeth in a wide awake...

it will work great provided you use it ONLY once every few months

Sony will give you a HUGE run-around when it errors on you even under warranty

Wonderful quality

I always trust the Sony label and this is no exception. The build and recording quality are excellent and it replaces the VCR with no problems. Even the lower record levels give better quality pictures than my video player, and I never come close to...

Very intuitive to use with good handset. Freeview recording handy

Need the book to hand until you get the hang of things
