DJI Mavic 2 review: Two fantastic drones, one tough choice

The DJI Mavic 2 Pro is an outstanding drone, and a worthy successor to the original. The Hasselblad camera turns out stellar images, and makes it a solid option for those looking for Phantom 4-level shots, with Mavic portability. It's a fair amount...

Zoom lens is surprisingly useful and fun ; 5-mile range and better live video feed ; Increased speed and battery life ; Quiet (for a drone)

No WiFi connectivity ; High price (though cheaper than the Pro)

DJI Mavic 2 Pro

The DJI Mavic 2 Pro is the best small drone on the market, with superior image and video quality, obstacle avoidance, and excellent battery life.

Superlative 4K video. 20MP Raw and JPG still imaging. Great battery life. Compact, foldable design. Obstacle avoidance sensors.

8GB internal memory isn't much. No DCI format support. Expensive.

Bottom Line: The DJI Mavic 2 Pro is the best small drone on the market, with superior image and video quality, obstacle avoidance, and excellent battery life.

DJI Mavic 2 Drone Review: Flying Even Higher

DJI has made not one but two drones that are not only incredibly easy (and fun) to fly, but also able to take excellent photos and video. I wish the company had put the optical zoom and 1-inch sensor in a single drone, but that'll have to wait until...

Easy to fly ; Long battery life ; Excellent cameras ; 360-degree obstacle avoidance

Expensive ; Rotor flicker in sunlight

With superb video and photo capture, great features, and long battery life, DJI has not one, but two excellent drones in the Mavic 2 Pro and the Mavic 2 Zoom.

DJI Mavic 2 Pro review: High-tech drone gets Hasselblad high-five

Stunning footage ; Great still photos ; Obstacle avoidance is brilliant ; Flight modes work really well ; Super smooth flight - even in wind

It's expensive ; Remote requires phone to be plugged in ; App is still not the most user friendly ; Non-HDR shots can be grainy

There's a very good reason why DJI is the market leader of drones: its combination of high-tech features, flight modes and video/image qualit is an unbeatable combination. With the Mavic 2 Pro, that reputation is only enhanced once more.

Hands on: DJI Mavic 2 Pro review

The most powerful consumer drone you can buy

Great foldable drone design ; 1-inch 4K camera sensor ; New modes like Hyperlapse

Very expensive ; Can't shoot 4K at 60fps ; Mavic 2 Zoom is compelling alternative

DJI Mavic 2 Pro gives us the sharpest video and photos out of any consumer-level drone thanks to its color-rich 4K HDR-equipped camera. Compared to the original Mavic Pro, the new the 1-inch sensor in this gimbal-stabilized camera amps up the...
