Compatibility is the name of the game

Picture quality ; Great design ; Connectivity ; 768 upscaling

Stereo only SACD playback ; Some motion artefacts

Arcam DV137

It's an extensive outlay for a DVD player, but believe it or not the DV137 is part of Arcam's relatively more affordable DiVA product line up. It's Arcam's first universal player, and its sturdy metal cabinet, oozes quality

Hugely versatile, High-quality components, Great picture and sound quality

Expensive

Forget the price - the DV137 justifies it with superb all-round quality and performance

Arcam DV137

I've been musically ruined by - of all things - a DVD player. I'm an early adopter of the iPod and really enjoy listening to it, through my stereo at home or cans at work. But now my musical bliss has been shattered by the stunning Arcam DV137

My long-suffering girlfriend has been dropping hints that for $5K I could get her a damn good engagement ring, but I think I need to buy this instead.
