Panasonic DMR-EZ47VK
The Panasonic DMR-EZ47VK records video to DVD or VHS; it has excellent recording quality, including an outstanding LP mode; HDMI output up to 1080p; good DVD upconversion; an SD card slot; flexible custom recording speed; DVD-RAM compatibility with the...
Its ATSC tuner cannot deliver full HDTV resolution; no EPG or IR blaster to control other gear.
Despite a few ATSC limitations, the Panasonic DMR-EZ47VK delivers almost all the features and performance we look for in a DVD/VHS recorder.

Although the DMR-EZ47V is a great option for anyone looking for a DVD/VCR combo, the gradual disappearance of VHS tapes means that this product is really only suitable for those who already have large collections.
Great recording functionality, support for DVD-RAM, DVD upscaling
VHS becoming increasingly rare, no high-definition digital reception

Getting kitted-up for the high-definition age is crucial, but what about all those VHS tapes you're loathe to discard? Combi decks have been around for a while, but Panasonic's newest is aimed squarely at owners of flatscreen TVs

Consumer review (epinions.com)
Panasonic's DMR-EZ475V is a fair-priced DVD / VCR recorder. The unit is loaded with features, and presents with a one-stop-shop resume for tape and disk use, including an array CD and DVD formatting and reading options. Unfortunately, the ...

Consumer review (epinions.com)

Excellent picture quality and sound ; self-contained tuner allows recording while watching different channel
