This deck builds on an already-accomplished DVD/HDD platform with new features

Excellent performance and spread of features

Lack of analogue TV tuner or additional digital tuner may bother some

Only a couple months out of waranty and machine wont boot up. error code U88. Panasonic not interested to help, and rude, makes more sense to buy a cheaper no name brand. Also does not record hi definition channels even though H/D was all over the...

Once set up great alternative to hiring " Austar set top box record 80 gb" this stores up to 6 times e.p programs the Austar product does.

Editing was very easy.

A good looking product packed with features. Simple to use basic functions. I'm still scratching the surface on what I can do with it

None on the unit itself. The manual though comprehensive doesn't seem to cover all possibilities and I've not done anything complicated yet. Annoyingly when I use the remote it also operate my Panasonic Bluray player which I could do without.

ease of set up,just plug in and go. excellent recording and playback with upscaling to 1080 . a great piece of kit.

The use of all the functions performed by this recorder take a little getting use to,but if you follow the extensive accompanying instructions all becomes clear.

easy set-up, simple to program, put cds onto hard disk, plays mp3 files on usb memory

fliddly switch to open/close dvd tray, remote control has limited range/angle - it doesnt seem sensitive enuff
