Lovely quality picture. Easy to set-up. Easy to use Bravia interface on remote. Good tv guide and easy timer setting. Huge memory means whole series can be stored!

Slow to initialise - Can't just switch on and record. Can only record on dvd OR HDD, not both at same time. Manual is a nightmare to understand - not very simple, and I'm a tecchy!!

Access to 'to be recorded' list is a convoluted button sequence. Default position (once you've found the list) is peculiar - end of list after all the series-link check entries

Once set up it is reasonably easy to use, and setting it to record from the programme list is very straightforward.

Instructions are difficult to follow and therefore it is not easy to set up.
