If you still have movies on tape, this is the way to go.

 

I bought my unit as an "open box" special, so it had been returned. Maybe for the reasons listed under "cons", below?

It's a combo deck! = Handy. Also, nice styling in a silver case.

Audio output not consistent between DVD and VHS. Somewhat prone to skipping.

DVD player stopped working

 

This unit worked great for 7 months and I liked the features it had. Then one day the DVD player stopped working. Whenever the unit is on, the tray stays open. Turn off the unit and the tray closes. The company said too bad, the warranty is for 90...

Worked great for seven months. A/V inputs on front. Copies some DVD's to tape.

DVD part stopped functioning and tray won't stay closed when unit is on.
