Maestro 5310 GPS - This is my first GPS unit

 

A well featured unit when it works. I only wished this unit was not so unreliable and that customer service was more responsive.

Very easy to quickly observe screen and excellent / well understood voice commands. This model has some good features. For example, Points of interest can be shown "Near Current Position" or "Near which city?" or "Near address?" One may also search...

I have owned this unit for approx. 24 hours, However, I already must send it in for service repair. I called Magellan and they will be sending me a new unit in approx 1 week

I don't care how much advertisment is out there for garmin or other gps units, I have owned a few and none compares to the quality and performance of magellan 5310 & ; 4250

Price could be a bit cheaper

This has even worked out well when using a cab and/ or walking city streets looking for addresses. It may be large, but not bulky or cumbersome and extremely easy to view.

Large screen, easy to view. They have definitely corrected the weak sound problem of the 4250 series. Ease of input for destinations is terrific and on the intuitive side. It was a gift for my wife and she loves it. We both enjoy Marge ( its nickname)...

After a months worth of use maneuvering the eastern half of the US, including Boston and New York City --- haven't found any yet. Some may consider the size a negative, however it is great to be able to see this clearly day or night with just a quick...
