Jaybird X2 review: A popular in-ear Bluetooth sports headphone gets refined

Jaybird's new X2 in-ear Bluetooth headphone looks much like its predecessor, the BlueBuds X, but it offers better sweat resistance, battery life and a slightly improved fit.

The Jaybird X2 has been in improved in a number of small ways from its predecessor, offering better sweat-proofing, a new matte finish, a more comfortable ear fin design, a better carrying case and improved battery life. It also sounds good and offers...

It may not offer a comfortable fit (and tight seal) for everyone. This new model looks the same as the old model -- the design hasn't changed -- and it's somewhat expensive.

The Jaybird X2 is an improvement over the Bluebuds X and one of the better wireless sports headphones out there -- so long as you get a snug, comfortable fit.

Jaybird X2

The wireless Jaybird X2 headphones offer an exceptionally secure fit and solid Bluetooth audio performance, making them ideal for athletes.

High quality audio performance with deep bass response and bright, clear highs. Ideal for athletes who need a very secure fit for intense training.

Expensive. Left/right ears not labeled.

It's hard to say anything bad about the Jaybird X2 earphones, other than the fact that the price is high and the lack of left-right ear labeling is a minor annoyance. If you're looking for an exercise-friendly Bluetooth pair but want to spend less...

Jaybird X2 Wireless HEADPHONES

The Jaybird X2 are great sports headphones and a good choice for most use cases. They have a stable wireless design. a decent sound that unfortunately isn't as customizable as the jaybird but should still be good enough for most and they barely leak....

Excellent leakage perfomance. ; Stable in-ear fit. ; Good noise isolation.

The in-ear fit is uncomfortable for some.

Jaybird X2 Wireless Sports Earbuds Review

No more excuses for skipping leg day.

There's a reason the Jaybird X2s (MSRP: $179.95) are a popular choice among runners and gym-goers. Between the memory foam tips and the ear fins, they provide most people with a secure and comfortable fit and tunes that sound great. The price tag is a...

Jaybird X2 Review

The Jaybird X2 is one of the best pairs of wireless earbuds, but their impressive sound quality and good battery life will cost you. They are twice as expensive as other earbuds. Overall, though, they keep a tight seal, are pretty comfortable and are...

The sound quality for this pair of earbuds is fantastic.

There aren't any labels indicating which earbud is for your left or right ear.

The Jaybird X2 wireless earbuds are twice as expensive as competing earbuds, but the high cost may be worth it for some, since the earbuds have phenomenal sound quality, keep a tight seal and have an impressive battery life.

Jaybird X2 Review: Best Treble-Sounding Sports Headset

The Jaybird X2 is by far the best treble-sounding sports headset. Large ear fins ensure the buds stay in your ears, lifetime sweatproof warranty.

Jaybird has marketed the X2 to be a sports-centric headset that plays spectacular audio. The ear fins are huge and offers great support to prevent slippages. The audio quality is pretty astounding, with bright treble sounds (too bright for me though)...

Jaybird X2 review

Sporty headphones that are great for casual listeners too

Good value ; Minimalistic design ; Works on iOS and Android ; Above average battery life

Ear fins can be a pain to install ; A bit expensive ; The X3 are a better upgrade

If you're looking for a hassle-free set of wireless in-ear headphones, the Jaybird X2 are an easy pick. The performance, ease of use and included goodies more than make up for the cost. The slick design of the X2 is hard not to notice, and the fact...
