Jaybird Tarah wireless headphones review: Cheapest model may have everything you need

Jaybird's entry-level wireless sports headphone has seen some discounts. At its sale price it's a good value.

The Jaybird Tarah wireless sports headphones fit comfortably and securely, are fully waterproof and sound good. The inline remote is slim and lightweight and the companion app is well designed and allows you to tweak the sound.

It has a proprietary charging cable, so if you lose it, you can't charge the headphones. There's no carrying pouch included. Battery life is only average.

If you can pick up the nicely designed and good sounding Jaybird Tarah at a little bit of a discount, it'll make up for some of its small shortcomings.

Jaybird Tarah

The Jaybird Tarah earphones deliver a powerful, sculpted audio experience with customizable EQ in a waterproof design.

Powerful audio performance with deep sub-bass response and sculpted highs. Free app lets you customize EQ. Waterproof. Extra-secure in-ear fit.

Lops off beginnings of tracks when you skip forward or backward.

Jaybird's Tarah earphones have many things going for them—they're waterproof, they deliver solid audio that can be customized via app, and they're not terribly expensive compared with the competition. There are a couple of quirks, like lopping off the...

Jaybird Tarah Wireless Review

The Jaybird Tarah Wireless are sports-oriented wireless in-ears that are versatile enough for everyday use. They isolate a decent amount of noise and have a simi...

Parametric EQ in companion app. Sturdy build quality. Multi-device pairing. Decent passive noise isolation and low audio leakage. Stable design. Well-balanced default sound profile.

High wireless latency. Proprietary charging cradle. Mediocre microphone noise handling capabilities. Ear tips don't provide a wide range of adjustability. Short continuous battery life. Small soundstage.

The Jaybird Tarah Wireless are decent for mixed usage. They provide a fairly well-balanced sound profile and are more comfortable than most in-ears, thanks to their shallow in-ear fit. They block a decent amount of ambient noise and barely leak any...

Jaybird Tarah Sports Earbuds review: For the price, the base model is ‘good enough’

While not as cheap as some others, Jaybird's base model Bluetooth earphones offer a lot of luxury.

Lightweight and good looking ; IPX7: can be submerged in one meter of water for 30 minutes ; Customizable EQ

Underwhelming ear tip/fit options ; situational awareness could be better ; Proprietary charging cable required

While not as inexpensive as some bluetooth earbuds, the Tarah cost far less than Jaybird's X4s and deliver good sound, waterproofing, and style.

Review: Jaybird Tarah Bluetooth Headphones

The Tarah from Jaybird are sport Bluetooth headphones that can handle your most intense workouts. If you're looking for a simple music experience for your outdoor adventures, the Tarah may fit the bill.

Jaybird sells the Tarah for $99. If you're looking for a really good pair of sport-style earbuds, these should be at the top of your list. The only true drawback as far as I am concerned is battery life. I'd prefer these got closer to 8 hours, but ~6...

Jaybird Tarah review

Strong sound in a basic package

Jaybird on a budget ; Crisp sound ; Brilliant Jaybird app

No magnetic earbuds ; Pretty big in your ear ; Cable can be fiddly to adjust

The Jaybird Tarah earphones are capable and well-made running earphones, even if they lack some of the fancier features of more premium Jaybird products.
