Excellent AKG N60NC Wireless headphones are compact, too

AKG's excellent-sounding on-ear wireless noise-canceling headphones have one advantage over their full-size competitors: They're more compact.

The AKG N60NC Wireless on-ear headphones are compact, comfortable and well-designed, and sound excellent for a model with active noise cancellation and Bluetooth. They're smaller and lighter than competing full-size earphones and fold up nicely to fit...

Fairly pricey; headset performance when making calls isn't as good as it should be at this price.

Although they may not be quite as good as full-size offerings from Bose and Sony, the on-ear AKG N60NC are arguably the best compact wireless noise-canceling headphones.

AKG N60 NC Wireless

The AKG N60 NC Wireless headphones deliver strong noise cancellation and wonderful Bluetooth audio in a comfortable design.

Strong noise cancellation. Excellent audio performance. Can be used in wired, passive mode. Comfortable.

No auto-off mode to save battery life.

We'll make this simple: If you're looking for best-in-category active noise cancellation, that distinction still belongs to Bose—check out the aforementioned QC 35 or the in-ear QC 30, both of which are wireless. However, if you want the best Bluetooth...

AKG N60 NC headphone review: Better than Bose's QuietComfort 25?

AKG's $250 on-ear active noise-cancelling headphone sounds great and is worth considering over Bose's top-selling QC25.

The AKG N60 NC is a compact, comfortable, well-designed on-ear headphone that sounds really good for a model with active noise cancellation. The rechargeable battery offers 30 hours of listening time.

Charging cable isn't the standard Micro-USB variety; single-button remote lacks volume controls.

Despite a few small downsides, AKG's $250 on-ear active noise-canceling headphone sounds great and is a worthy alternative to Bose's top-selling QuietComfort 25.

AKG N60 NC

The AKG N60 NC headphones deliver balanced, laudable audio performance and solid noise cancellation in a travel-friendly design.

Powerful, balanced audio performance. Solid noise cancellation. Can be used passively. Includes removable cable. Comfortable design that folds down for easy stowing.

Noise cancellation creates audible hiss. Not for those seeking booming bass.

If noise cancellation is your top priority, the aforementioned Bose QuietComfort 20 is still your best bet. There are other headphones with solid audio performance and decent noise cancellation, such as the Plantronics BackBeat Pro, the Samsung Level...

AKG N60NC Noise Canceling Headphones [Review]

Its been some time since I have personally reviewed a pair of AKGs dating back to the K845BTs which were on-ear headphones and also wireless. Since then AKG has come out with some pretty stylish headphones I feel are directed towards the younger crowd....

When I first got a look at them I couldn’t see why they held a hefty price tag of $249.99 (originally $299) but my eyes have been opened up a bit. They provide excellent active noise cancelling, are very portable based on their weight and collapsible...
