JVC HA-M5X

If you can get past the too-flashy design, audio performance from the $50 JVC HA-M5X headphones exceeds expectations.

Far better than most under-$50 headphones and a major upgrade over Apple earbuds. Handles heavy bass at high volumes without distorting.

Design is a bit over-the-top. Not terribly comfortable for long listening periods.

JVC HA-M5X

The JVC HA-M5Xs are a pair of relatively inexpensive over-ears that come packaged like most plastic toys do: in a clear plastic clamshell that is impossible to open without a knife. Despite some disappointing audio quality results and a design more...

The JVC HA-M5Xs are a little disappointing in performance, but not irredeemably so.

JVC HA-M5X

A scientific, in-depth analysis with side-by-side comparisons

While it’s plain to see that the JVC HA-M5Xs are by no means studio headphones, but they aren’t going to leave you with an empty feeling that you’ve gotten ripped off if you pick them up either. Despite their bland design and mediocre-to-bad frequency...

JVC HAM5X Xtreme Xplosives Around Ear

Aggressive-looking headphones, aggressively priced.

Wide sound ; Can sound great with sufficient EQ

Unbalanced sound ; Lack treble sparkle ; Not that comfortable ; Significant sound leakage

The JVC HAM5X Xtreme Xplosives Around Ear are basic headphones, with little need for accessories. The 1.2m cable ends in a 3.5mm jack, and is home to neither handsfree kit nor remote control. There's no case supplied, but at the low price it's not...

Great while they lasted.

i would buy these again but nobody has them in stock except am zon, and every time i buy something from ama zon it's a counterfeit or a really cra ppy damaged product! it would be nice to see these on newegg as i would graciously buy these again.

for $65 at the time i got these they were quite comparable to headphones of a higher price. great bass and it is hard to find headphones with the amount these have especially for the price. lasted from 2011 to 2016, very durable. professional sounding...

short cable and made the top of your head sore after a while, also the mids (125 hz to 2k) were deadly without an equalizer which is a simple fix and nearly every device / pc has one.

I use these for everything from voice chat to gaming to music. Excellent for all applications. Recently, I dropped them and they dented my wall. Suffered no damage. Also, they really can get your ears shaking all the way down to 7 Hz without...

Good headphones

These are good solid headphones... with above average sound. The mids and hi's are adequate, while the bass is very strong (no distortion)..... They appear to be well built but one thing you need to realize... these things are HUGE...... Overall I...

Amazing

Huge bass impact without losing quality in the highs and mids Little to no sound leak Flashy look, camouflage headrest Comfortable to wear even if they weigh a ton

These things are HEAVY. JVC does a nice job making up for it with a comfortable head rest though. They're huge.
