OnePlus Buds Review

Affordable ; Good sound quality ; Long battery life

Limited on-device controls ; No EQ

The simple, stylish OnePlus Buds earphones offer very good wire-free sound quality for significantly less money than Apple's AirPods.

OnePlus Buds review: cheap AirPods for OnePlus phones

There are no ear tips, so a lot depends on how well they'll fit you.

Appealing $79 price ; Very good battery life ; IPX4 water and sweat resistance

Rigid design won’t work for all ears ; Like AirPods, you’ll deal with a lot of outside noise ; Requires a OnePlus phone to customize controls

The new $79 OnePlus Buds look similar to Apple’s AirPods with a rigid, hard plastic design. They offer good battery life, decent sound, and a cheap way for OnePlus owners to get into true wireless earbuds.

OnePlus Buds review

The OnePlus Buds are promising wireless earbuds held back by exclusivities.

Strong wireless performance ; Audio better than expected ; Great charging case ; Gaming mode lowers latency

Customization and special features exclusive to OnePlus owners ; Mediocre call quality ; Touch controls need more work ; Zero noise isolation

Colorful, loud, and wirelessly powerful, the OnePlus Buds cater mostly to those who own a OnePlus smartphone.

OnePlus Buds Truly Wireless Review

The OnePlus Buds Truly Wireless are well-built, decently comfortable truly wireless earbuds. They're designed to be paired with OnePlus phones, and you can only ...

Well-built, portable design.

Terrible noise isolation. Disappointing microphone recording quality. Inconsistent bass and treble delivery. Not stable enough for intense exercise. No sound customization options. Sub-par continuous battery life.

The OnePlus Buds are middling for mixed usage. Their bright sound profile lacks a lot of low-bass, which may be disappointing for fans of neutral sound. Also, they don't isolate against background noises typically found in an office or during your...

OnePlus Buds Review

With the new Buds, OnePlus is looking to make a splash on the budget wireless earbuds market, much like the company did with its OnePlus Nord for the midrange smartphone market. But are the OnePlus Buds the best overall option out there? I spent time...

Good sound comparable to AirPods; Great value for the price; Quick initial pairing

Only one earbud may start playing if you didn't keep them in the case; Case and earbuds design is a bit thicker and less refined than AirPods

OnePlus Buds review: A good deal, but poor fit (On sale!)

OnePlus is pivoting toward the consumer market with its OnePlus Buds to accompany the Nord. Let's see if these are worth your time.

Fast charging ; IPX4 water-resistance ; Auto ear detection auto play/pause ; Microphone quality

Connection drops ; Discomfort and unstable fit ; Limited touch controls ; AAC and SBC only, no aptX

OnePlus did a great job tailoring these earphones to its pre-existing customer base, and has since expanded firmware updates to most Android devices. The pricing is reasonable for the earbuds, given their impressive feature set, but none of that...

OnePlus Buds review: The bang for buck TWS earphones

The OnePlus Buds have been launched to rival not just the Apple AirPods, but also offerings from Samsung, Huawei, Vivo, and even Realme. Here's how they perform in the real world.

Balanced sound ; Good looks ; Portable

Limited gesture controls

OnePlus Buds offer excellent sound quality and solid battery life. Their $79 price tag is just the icing on the cake.

OnePlus Buds review

OnePlus takes a stab at the headphone market, and mostly hits the mark with the affordable OnePlus Buds.

Slick design, especially in blue ; Good sound quality ; Long battery life plus Warp charge ; Cheap

Rigid design won’t suit all ears ; Average noise cancelling

OnePlus has come out swinging with its first entry into the headphones market. The OnePlus Buds look great (even if they borrowed their look), but more importantly they sound great too, especially for their incredibly low cost. Sadly, the rigid design...

OnePlus Buds: Coming to terms with the first true wireless headphones from OnePlus

Launched alongside OnePlus Nord on Tuesday 21 July, the OnePlus Buds are the brand's first true wireless headphones. Are they a successful first try?

Ultra-fast pairing on a OnePlus smartphone ; Solid battery life ; Very powerful bass ; IPX4 ; Reasonable price

The open fit design does not provide a very good fit. ; No ANC ; No HD audio codecs supported ; No wireless charging capability ; No equaliser

The OnePlus Buds don't do more than they promise, and who can blame them? This first attempt at the true wireless headphone market is not meant to be perfect. This is again a tentative opinion and I will only share my final verdict in my future full...
