Even if you switch it off, it comes back on if it detects sound (using the jack plug input)

It sounds great

Bought it for my elderly mum as she was having trouble hearing DVD's Netflix etc and works a treat.

great sound for the price. has made a vast improvement as the tv speakers are at the back ,so the sound goes away from you. with the sound bar at the front of the tv it is totally different .

there is no default setting for the level of the sound ,so you have to press the volume button on the sound bar each time you turn the tv on.

It's a perfect size for our bedroom and the sound quality is lovely.

The remote buttons click which during the night when it's quiet seems quite loud but that's must be a JVC feature because our JVC tv remote clicks as well.....sort of annoying.

compactness and neatness in position

This was for my elderly parents who had bought a new tv which has speakers facing backwards. They were really struggling with the sound so we got the sound bar and the sound quality is great
