There are an awful lot of nice things to say about Philips' HTS9800W home theatre system. This 6.1 wireless home theatre system has an air of Bang & O...
Uber-stylish design, great sound, wireless back speakers, good data CD functions, HDMI
Clunky wiring system at front, limited connections, not the best remote
An incredibly stylish offering from Philips that also sounds great

A stylish system with the performance to match
Great performance ; Stunning design
Cumbersome connections box
Rich in features, this sets a new benchmark that all-in-one systems should aspire to

Cheaper rivals are setting high standards at lower prices, but the Philips HTS9800 is still a good buy
Build and styling are second to none ; good sonic integration ; fine pictures
A little pricey among the current crop of rival systems
Still among the best, even given the emergence of cheaper rivals

The Philips HTS9800W is a stylish wireless 6.1 surround sound system that handles a wide range of disc and file formats as well as most of the latest surround sound formats.
Powerful, high performance system ; Up-scales 576p DVDs to 1080i ; Extensive format support ; HDMI connectivity ; Wireless rear speakers
Rear speakers drowned out by front channel ; Plugging cables into the main DVD unit is fiddly ; Does not support XviD ; No USB host function
Overall sound quality is very impressive, and blistering volume levels can be reached as long as you don't mind some distortion with certain tones.

Visually, attractive. Significant effort was made "making it look good.â

Does anyone know why my IPOD videos won't play on the system? It keeps telling me to put in the video accessory, even when I have put that cable in? Any help would be great!
