The Philips HTS9800W is a stylish wireless 6.1 surround sound system that handles a wide range of disc and file formats as well as most of the latest surround sound formats.
Powerful, high performance system ; Up-scales 576p DVDs to 1080i ; Extensive format support ; HDMI connectivity ; Wireless rear speakers
Rear speakers drowned out by front channel ; Plugging cables into the main DVD unit is fiddly ; Does not support XviD ; No USB host function
Overall sound quality is very impressive, and blistering volume levels can be reached as long as you don't mind some distortion with certain tones.
