Asus ROG Azoth X Review: A Space-Age Gaming Keyboard

 

The stylized and wide keycaps, paired with a deep and snappy typing experience, make for a competent mechanical keyboard, if you don't mind the space-age aesthetics.

2.4-GHz wireless connectivity. 1,000-Hz polling rate. Smooth and satisfying typing experience. Easy customization with OLED display.

Plastic bottom case. Design might not be for everyone. High price for performance.

Asus has taken the ROG Azoth X in a totally different aesthetic direction, and I don't hate it

 

Much, much brighter.

Different, unique aesthetic that's more interesting than black but not too gamer-y ; Good typing experience ; Hot-swappable PCB ; Supposed web-based Armoury Crate

Thunky spacebar ; Feels cheaper ; More expensive-

The Azoth X is a unique-looking gaming keyboard with a solid typing experience, but it's still just a gaming keyboard.

The Asus ROG Azoth X adds even more style and refinement to one of the best mainstream mechanical keyboard releases.

Sleek, interesting looks ; Smooth, responsive linear switches ; Fantastic battery life

Expensive ; Software still not as strong as key rivals

The Asus ROG Azoth X impresses with its modern looks, smooth and responsive feel and versatile software offering. It also feels sturdy, and comes with brilliant battery life and connectivity. All of that comes with quite a hefty price tag, though.
