Acer Aspire One AOD255-1203

The Acer Aspire One AOD255-1203 is any day the cheapest dual-core netbook, yet you get a full-size keyboard and more than 7 hours of battery life.

Dual-core Atom. Slimmest and lightest netbook. Aggressively priced. Over 7 hours of battery life.

Upgrading memory is difficult.

Review Acer Aspire One D255 Netbook (N550)

Dual high-flyer. Dual core is moving into Netbooks. That the battery run times don't shorten as a result, and instead increase is shown by our tested device. Why the mobility nevertheless casts a shadow can be discovered in this review.

Good battery life, Low weight, Space saving and light power adapter, Low power consumption, Quiet hard drive, Low heat emission, Acceptable processing speed, Low weight and power consumption

Reflective TFT, Weak contrast, Display too dark, Low resolution, Bad input devices, Cooling fan permanently active, Few interfaces, RAM & HDD difficult to change, A non-reflective and brighter display would be important for use outdoors on sunny days

Acer Aspire One D255 Review

What difference a dual-core? As we've seen from the ASUS Eee PC 1215N , just because an ultraportable might be called a netbook, it doesn't mean it's necessarily short on power. Still, the Acer Aspire One D255 doesn't get NVIDIA's Optimus GPU to...

Netbook Review: Acer Aspire One D255

While not without its limitations, the Acer Aspire One D255 is a capable system that will meet the needs of many users at a fraction of the cost, size, and weight of a full-sized laptop PC. But do its price and capabilities keep it competitive against...

Best-value netbook

The Acer Aspire One D255 is one of the cheapest netbooks you can find with Intel's new dual-core Atom N550 processor. Although single-core versions of the netbook are available starting around $270, reviewers test and recommend the dual-core Aspire One...

New dual-core CPU, good battery life, comfortable keyboard

Memory panel is hard to access, touchpad can be inaccurate, lots of bloatware

ACER D255 Dual Core N550 10″ Netbook Review

The Acer Aspire One D255 – Acer's first dual-core netbook, and one of the first 10-inchers anywhere to use Intel's new Atom N550 processor. Looks wise it has a thin profile & is lighter then the average netbook weighing in at 2.6 pounds. The exterior...

The price is the most compelling feature of this netbook, as it comes in at $329 (see Amazon.com). The battery life is over 8 hours of web surfing & it is very thin and light. But if it were my $329 I would want a track pad that was usable and if I...

Atom N550 Acer Aspire One D255 Reviewed, 8+ Hour Battery Life

LaptopMag has a review out on the new Acer Aspire One D255 with a dual core Atom N550 processor. The chassis is the same as older models so if you're familar with their flat chiclet keys then you'll know what to expect – LaptopMag found it slightly...

Acer Aspire D255

This colourful netbook features a dual core Atom CPU and will boot into either Windows 7 or Android 2.1.

Dual-core Atom CPU, Dual boot Android & Windows, Well-built

Largely mediocre specifications, Android navigation needs touch

Acer Aspire One D255 review

Long battery life ; large keyboard ; build quality

Colours look washed out, Android is unnecessary

A great netbook, but the inclusion of Android seems a little unnecessary

Acer Aspire One D255

The Acer Aspire One D255 serves up a new Intel Atom N550 processor, offering dual cores, as well as two operating systems – Windows 7 Starter and Android 2.2. We're big fans of Android in mobile phones, but we've questioned Android on netbooks before...

Price, dual core Atom makes it a smooth operator

Android seems to lack purpose, some build quality complaints

The Acer Aspire One D255 isn’t the best looking netbook out there, but like Acer netbooks we’ve seen in the past, it does incorporate some of the newest hardware at a price that’s hard to beat.
