Acer Swift 7 (2019)

It's no speed demon and the webcam is subpar, but the Acer Swift 7 is the slimmest and lightest 14-inch ultraportable we've seen—an under-2-pound fashion statement that will tempt elite travelers.

Incredibly thin and light. Good battery life, considering minimal battery space in chassis. Satisfying screen. Two Thunderbolt 3 ports, plus HDMI/USB dongle.

Costly. Marginal performance. Finicky keyboard layout. Keyboard-deck webcam mandates unflattering angles. No microSD card slot.

Bottom Line: It's no speed demon and the webcam is subpar, but the Acer Swift 7 is the slimmest and lightest 14-inch ultraportable we've seen—an under-2-pound fashion statement that will tempt elite travelers.

Acer Swift 7 SF714-51T (Core i7-7Y75, 256 GB, FHD, Touch) Laptop Review

Unbelievably thin! The latest revision of the Acer Swift 7 is not only slimmer than its predecessor, but it also packs an Intel Core i7 Y-series processor, which should provide better performance and a multi-touch display. Find out in this detailed...

stylish and ultra-thin case ; multi-touch display with no backlight bleed ; IPS display with strong viewing angles ; no PWM ; good Wi-Fi performance ; LTE module ; fingerprint sensor ; fast NVMe SSD ; Acer sleeve and USB Type-C hub included ; backlit...

expensive ; only two USB 3.1 Type-C ports ; case is prone to fingerprints ; touchpad lacks dedicated buttons ; no memory card reader ; no configuration options

The Acer Swift 7 SF714 is an ultra-compact subnotebook that is well suited for mobile use. The Swift 7 slightly improves on its predecessor in all areas; the greatest difference is the larger 14-inch multi-touch display. Acer has also revised the...

Acer Swift 7 (SF714-52T) review – what makes the thinnest and lightest 14-incher special

Say hello to the thinnest and lightest 14-inch laptop on the market. It is incredible to see how a device with that screen-size can be less than 10mm thick and weight 890 grams. Of course, this not…

Super thin and light (9.95mm and 890 grams);Great battery life;IPS touchscreen panel with great contrast ratio and 97% of sRGB coverage; Our Gaming and Web design helps it reach an Average dE of 1.1;Doesn’t use PWM for brightness adjustment;Comes with a...

Weak chassis; Not a very uniform panel in terms of luminosity;Extremely limited I/O;Practically no upgradability options; Its camera is on a weird location

Acer Swift 7 ultraportable notebook review - Liliputing

Acer's 13 inch Swift 7 laptop is super-slim, super-lightweight, and super-quiet, thanks to a fanless design. It's a stylish laptop with one of the best keyboards of any Acer laptop I've tested, and it also features a wide, comfortable touchpad below...

The Acer Swift 7 is a remarkably thin laptop. It’s very light-weight. And it has a fanless design for silent operation. It has an excellent keyboard and touchpad. And the bright display looks great from any angle. While it doesn’t have the fastest CPU...

Hands on: Acer Swift 7 (2019) review

A new, improved direction for Acer's flagship

Brand-new, bold design ; Lighter than before ; Touchpad clicks again

Steep price for power profile ; Difficult webcam position

Acer has improved upon its previous Swift 7 in almost every way, with a truly unique and clever design. It’s as if the netbook has been reborn in a beautiful magnesium-lithium and magnesium-aluminum alloy chassis – and with actually decent parts inside.

Acer Swift 7 (2019) review: Slim and light fails to succeed

If slim and light is your all, the Swift 7 is as good as it gets. But it's very expensive, not that powerful and other, thicker, options may be better

Extremely good screen brightness ; Very slim and light ; Silent running

Very expensive ; Feels flimsy in parts ; Not very powerful

While the Swift 1, 3 and 5 are easy to recommend, the Swift 7 is not. It costs a packet, it's not that powerful, and the build quality is poor for the sake of keeping it ultra-thin and ultra-light. It does have an impressive screen though, which is...

Acer Swift 7 (2019) review

It's the slimmest laptop in the world. But is it all style and no substance?

Record-breaking ; Slim design ; Good screen quality ; Decent everyday performance

A tad too flimsy ; More expensive than rivals ; Underwhelming keyboard

The Acer Swift 7 breaks records with its slim, light design, but the cut-down exterior doesn’t add practical advantages. Elsewhere it’s good, but no better than rivals while costing more. It’s a good talking point, but as a laptop it’s no better than...

Acer Swift 7 SF714-52T review: The light stuff

Form beats function on the latest Swift 7, an amazingly portable yet underpowered Windows laptop

Incredibly thin and light; Bold, bright screen; Silent running

Low multitasking performance; Limited ports; Unusual keyboard layout

What price a laptop under 1kg? The Acer Swift 7 is beautifully compact, though balancing this with performance and practicality proves to be tricky.

Acer Swift 7 (SF714-51T) review: World's thinnest laptop is a processing lightweight

Despite Swift improvements, Acer's ultra-thin laptop is still not speedy enough

Elegant design; Ultra-thin; Lightweight

Poor performance; Overly sensitive trackpad; Expensive

Despite its beauty, and the fact it's so light you can almost forget you're carrying it, the Acer Swift 7 is all style and little substance.

Consumer review (ao.com)

Light slim and swift !

"We had Acer Swift 7 SF714-51T for good while now with us, and in short as name suggest it is very swift - it starts instantly , and its one of the lightest and slimmest notebooks atm - which is brilliant as if you are a student or use one for work -...
