Asus AsusPro B9440UA (Core i7, 16 GB) Laptop Review Update

The lightest 14-inch laptop in the world - part 2. We performed our benchmarks on the i7 version called GV0101T of the compact B9440UA that only has a few interfaces. Are the 300 Euros extra a good investment? It depends if the buyer finds 256 GB more...

solid and stylish casing ; very compact, slim and light ; narrow bezel ; port replicator and cover included ; TPM + fingerprint scanner ; very good input devices ; excellent contrast ratio ; quiet and cool in all load scenarios ; frugal and energy...

basic connectivity ; no webcam ; Wi-Fi performance not ideal ; low color space coverage ; poor color accuracy ex-factory ; below average SATA 3 SSD ; massive throttling in the stress test

The GV0101T model with an i7, 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD is roughly 300 Euros (~$343) more expensive than the GV0100T with 8 GB of working memory and a 256 GB SSD. However, apart from the larger storage device, it hardly offers an added value....

Asus AsusPro B9440UA (Core i5, 8 GB) Laptop Review

The world's most lightweight 14-inch notebook. That is at least according to Asus, since the company advertises their latest 1.05 kg (2.31 lbs) heavy and 15 mm (0.59 inches) USB-C only office notebook as such. Our extensive review is going to reveal...

rigid and good-looking case ; very compact, thin, and lightweight ; thin bezels ; port replicator and protective case included ; TPM + fingerprint reader ; very good input devices ; excellent contrast ratio ; quiet and cool in all load scenarios ;...

rudimentary port layout ; no webcam ; subpar Wi-Fi performance ; color accuracy rather poor out of the box ; subpar SATA 3 SSD ; massive throttling during our stress test

Asus took a chance by sacrificing all ports that can normally be found on laptops, and quite a few users will be put off by the fact that the device is limited to two USB-C ports. However, it would have been all but impossible to achieve 15 mm...

Asus Pro B9440UA review: A tough, lightweight 14-inch business laptop, but where's the webcam?

The Asus Pro B9440UA tries to hit a sweet spot between price, functionality and portability that will appeal to mobile professionals. There's a real sleekness to the design, with Asus highlighting the provision of a full-HD 14-inch screen in a 13-inch...

Light, portable and robust ; Large screen for the chassis size ; Good speakers ; Good battery life

No webcam or touchscreen ; Poorly located power button ; Disappointing screen resolution ; Few on-board ports and slots

Asus AsusPro B9440UA review

An Ultrabook that goes a bit too far in its quest to slim down

Smart overall design ; MIL-STD 810G graded ; 3-year international warranty ; Long battery life

Frustrating hinge ; Lack of ports ; No webcam

The AsusPro B9440UA is a fantastic piece of technology in many ways, but we’re not big fans of the hinge – plus the lack of ports and absence of a webcam are, in our opinion, a step too far in the battle between aesthetics and functionality.
