Asus Zenbook UX303UA-R4051T Subnotebook Review

There is strength in tranquility. The Zenbook UX303 series has been available since 2014 and Asus now ships the devices with Skylake processors from Intel. Our review unit with an i7 CPU can score with quiet operation and low temperatures, but can the...

high-quality metal chassis ; decent input devices ; very quiet operation ; low surface temperatures ; great system performance ; bright display with good color reproduction

low PWM frequency of the display ; quiet noises from the SSD ; CPU throttling during the stress test ; missing keyboard illumination

The Skylake update of the Zenbook UX303 can, similar to its predecessor, win a lot of sympathy with its sophisticated metal surfaces, decent input devices as well as a bright panel, which is already well-calibrated ex-works. The test model also scores...

Asus Zenbook UX303UB-DH74T Notebook Review

High resolution at a cost. The UX303 series has been around since the days of Sandy Bridge, but this is the first Skylake QHD model to make it into our labs. Unfortunately, the upgrade comes with a couple of consequences.

no major use of PWM for QHD configuration, very high resolution panel, full CPU and GPU performance whilst running Unigine Heaven, easy end-user maintenance, dual video-out; included VGA and RJ-45 adapters

reduced brightness, color accuracy, and contrast compared to FHD SKU, response times could have been better, no M.2 storage options, GPU can be get quite warm, no USB Type-C port

The Zenbook series still holds some of the better Ultrabooks available assuming that novel features like 360-degree hinges or detachable keyboards are of no interest to the user. This QHD configuration, however, is both a step forward and a step...

Asus Zenbook UX303UB (Core i7-6500U, GeForce 940M) Subnotebook Review

Compact all-rounder. The latest model from Asus' Zenbook UX 303 series is once again a thin and nice 13.3-inch notebook. It has a lot of performance, but is still quiet in operation. The battery runtimes are unfortunately shorter compared to previous...

bright, high-contrast and matte IPS display, usually runs quiet, good input devices, fast SSD, good battery runtimes, can be maintained

the processor cannot utilize its full performance, you can hear an electronic noise, PWM at brightness settings of 90 % and lower, low PWM frequency

The notebook is pretty fast and can handle games, but the system is usually still quiet. The handling benefits from the fast SSD and there is no lack of storage thanks to the 512 GB drive. A replacement of the SSD is no problem, either, since it is...

Asus Zenbook UX303UA-FN121T Subnotebook Review

Skylake upgrade. The Zenbook still manages decent battery runtimes even with Skylake innards. However, that involves making compromises compared with the Broadwell models. The poor screen will not win any awards.

matte screen, runs quietly, low temperature development, good input devices, decent battery life

dark, low-contrast, viewing angle dependent screen, no keyboard backlight, electronic crackling is audible

Asus' Zenbook UX303UA-FN121T is basically a Skylake upgrade of the Broadwell model we already tested. The new processor leads to a higher computing performance. The laptop also allows playing computer games to some extent thanks to the Skylake graphics...

Asus Zenbook UX303LN / UX303 review – faster than ever

If you're after a gaming ultrabook that weighs just around 3 pounds, looks astonishing and packs top features in a sleek and compact body, the Asus Zenbook UX303LN should definitely be at the top of your list.

powerful configuration with dedicated graphics, upgrade friendly, solid and good looking, plenty of ports, decent keyboard and trackpad

runs a bit too hot under load, average battery life, some awkward design decisions, severely uncalibrated screen

If you’re in the market for a 13 inch ultrabook that weighs around 3 pounds and can actually cope well with most modern games, you won’t find anything better than this Asus Zenbook UX303LN right now.

Asus ZenBook UX303UA

Asus has been churning out some great Ultrabooks in the form of its ZenBook range. I've been particularly impressed with the stellar UX305, which offers premium build quality and design at an affordable price.

Asus Zenbook UX303 review

A powerful but unambitious Ultrabook

Solid aluminium build ; Rich, vivid and colorful display ; Powerful for an Ultrabook

Annoying ambient light sensor ; Unambitious design ; Relatively thick chassis

A pleasant Ultrabook that makes minor advancements on the previous model, and undercuts the opposition.

ASUS ZenBook UX303UB review: A battle of form and function

ASUS' Zenbooks are supposed to set a high bar as far as standards for design and performance are concerned. Does the UX303UB deliver on those fronts though?

The ASUS ZenBook UX303UB is not a very remarkable laptop in most respects. It looks nice, has a lovely screen, adequate specs and performance to match. It's not quite as cutting edge as one would expect, but it's definitely not bad.

Asus ZenBook UX303U review

With better quality screens than ever before and the new Intel processors, the latest ultraportable Windows laptops are seriously tempting. Here's our Asus ZenBook UX303U review

At around £900 the ZenBook UX303U approaches the build finesse but lacks the unbeaten battery of the similarly priced MacBook Air, although it can claim faster processor performance and a superior full-HD matt display. This latest ZenBook is a...
