Asus Zenbook UX301LA review

Though fast, and in possession of a beautiful 1440p display, this Zenbook stumbles under the burden of its outrageous price.

The UX301LA is, in many ways, a worthy step forward for the company’s already excellent Zenbook line. Besides its elegant, eye-catching design, the system shaves off weight and improves display resolution while still providing decent battery life,...

Asus Zenbook S 16 (2024) Review: A Well-Balanced Windows Laptop

It's not a Copilot+ PC, but this Asus laptop delivers great performance even on AI tasks. It also has outstanding battery life.

Better performance than expected at this price. Spacious keyboard plus a touchpad with gesture support. Outstanding battery life. Impressive Ceraluminum lid.

Some mushiness in the keys. Graphics won’t blow you away. Can’t provide Copilot+ features (but feels like it should be able to).

Asus Zenbook S 16 review: AMD stays in the game

Asus' Zenbook S 16 is one of the first laptops to feature AMD's flagship Ryzen AI processor, the one that's supposed to be faster than Intel and Qualcomm at gaming, content creation, and AI — and fit inside a notebook that AMD says is lighter and...

It’s gorgeous ; Incredibly thin and light for a 16-inch laptop ; Great performance, especially the integrated graphics

Shorter battery life than major competitors ; StoryCube doesn’t work ; Couldn’t get a sense of how fast the NPU really is

The Zenbook S 16 didn’t quite live up to all the performance claims AMD made about it, but it came close and really impressed me in the process. It’s a 16-inch productivity, gaming, and content creation machine that does all those things surprisingly...

Asus gives the Zenbook UX301 a higher-res touch screen

A premium MacBook alternative with nearly every high-end spec imaginable.

The Asus Zenbook UX301 packs in a lot, including a better-than-HD touch screen, big 256GB SSD, and Core i7 processor, in a slim, smart design.

It costs more than most comparable better-then-HD laptops, including the Retina MacBook Pro. The Zenbook doesn't feel as rugged as its price warrants, and its battery life is unimpressive.

Asus was one of the first PC makers to go ultra-thin with its Zenbook line. That latest UX301 version packs in nearly every high-end spec you'd want, but it's priced out of reach for most, and lacks an all-day battery.

Asus Zenbook UX301 review

A few years ago, nearly every PC maker had its own version of the idea ultrabook (some would call them MacBook Air clones), with a slim body, low-voltage CPU, 13-inch screen, and a premium price. In 2014, the nearly identical laptop everyone needs to...

The Asus Zenbook packs the latest Intel processors and wraps it in a gorgeous, glass-topped body (hands-on)

Want some sleek style with your computing power? Check out the Asus Zenbook UX301. It's a 13.3-inch ultrabook, boasting the latest Intel chips, an ultra high-res display and a gorgeous glass lid.

Asus Zenbook S 16 review: Extremely thin and way too hot

Alluring ceramic-aluminum finish ; Large touchpad ; Good battery life

Ceramic-aluminum only applies to display lid ; Multi-core CPU performance fails to impress ; Integrated GPU doesn’t stand out ; External temperatures peak at uncomfortable levels

The Asus Zenbook S 16 is an attractive laptop, but the Ryzen AI 9 delivers mediocre performance and external temperatures peak at 130 degrees under load.

Review Asus Zenbook Infinity UX301LA Ultrabook

Dark beauty. It's small. It's a premium product. And it's fast. We almost don't dare to call the new Zenbook UX301 an "ultrabook", as it attempts to be much more than that: the perfect mobile companion. With the top-notch materials, great build quality...

Slim case, premium materials; Superb input devices; High CPU performance; Extremely fast SSD RAID system; Bright, high-resolution display; Great connectivity options; Decent battery life; 802.11ac Wi-Fi

Reflective display surface; Mediocre webcam; Limited expandability; Expensive

Most comparable devices come from Apple, ranging from the more mobile MacBook Air 13 to the more powerful MacBook Pro 13 Retina. Other alternatives might be the Samsung 740U3E, the Sony Vaio Pro 13, the Acer Aspire S7 or the Dell XPS 12.

Asus Zenbook S 16 review (2024 UM5606WA- AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, Radeon 890M)

This is my detailed review of the AMD-powered 2024 Asus Zenbook S 16 OLED UM5606WA series.

premium design, compact and lightweight, feels sturdier than other Zenbooks ; beautiful OLED display, non or touch ; excellent performance for this class, faster than existing AMD and Intel options ; runs coolly and mostly silent with general use ; 78...

the screen doesn't go back flat to 180 ; shallow keyboard and typing experience ; the AMD hardware doesn't run at its full potential in this low-powered chassis ; the higher-tier configuration gets expensive
